I'm running the Avail vent on my '21 Grom (Thailand)....I just run a short line out of it to a 90 degree fitting then another short line to a UNI filter to the atmosphere on the right side........ I'm just running the stock bore with the DHM Cam, TST Coverplate and Sprint air filter, and Zoom Brute on a CJR Reflash........Bike scoots right along!

Do you only need a catch can if you install a big bore kit? If i just run exhaust, air intake, cam and ecu flash would i still need this catch can?

Can you send the oil back to the oil dipstick plug from the can?
@egoboost9952 Жыл бұрын
I personally wouldn’t mostly because I run E85 and my catch can has a mix of oil and fuel. Do any blow by you get will be in there as well. There really shouldn’t be any oil that’s worth even putting back though. Most of what I have is fuel which again is due to me running E85 but even after a couple thousand miles you shouldn’t have all that much in there

Do you need to put more oil in engine?

I run the juggernaut 7 row oil cooler from Drow sports. the lines however were custom made

Why e-85??? Gasoline has more energy per gallon. And I know it makes more sense if you had a forced air induction ( low compression high boost /super charger / turbo) but the alcohol just adds to fuel problems (moisture in fuel) in toys with standard to high compression . When I was building high compression naturally aspirated motors, you needed high octane.

Where did you vent your avail vent case into? Was it just another breather filter?
@egoboost99522 жыл бұрын
I routed my avail vent straight to the catch can, the oil fill cap directly to the catch can and then the rear case breather line I just stuck a filter into and let it sit on top of the engine. The third port on the catch can I left alone to vent the pressure directly into atmosphere. I’d like to mount that filter somewhere but for now that works best. At no first I had the avail vent and rear case breather connected by a “T” fitting and ran that to one of the catch can ports but I was getting bad blow by from that
