Im tryi g to figure if its my vent..i got one suoed up and they had the i think vent blocked off..it got umblocked and sounds meaner and runs fine but i dno if i should block it off again

91 is actually better then 93 because non oxygenated and no ethanol if you want a higher octane get some race gas or av fuel and mix 4 or 5 to 1

What exhaust are you running and who makes the lower chin faring cover over your exhaust?

So the exhaust is a mismatched Amazon exhaust the pipe is the regular one everyone has I just used a slip on for a gy6 from Amazon very little mods needed, the lower faring is also Amazon

If you’re really pinging, why not just pull some timing out of your map?

I have but I’m trying to find a balance, I don’t want to sacrifice too much performance

@@fubarsnafu82 are you running both of the gaskets that go between the cylinder and head? I don’t ping even with no timing pulled and on 91 - are you sure you’re hearing knock and not something else?

Both gaskets 91 with booster, it’s only in 4th and 5th around 7k when it gets close to 200f. It definitely sound like pinging to me it not bad but any amount on these motors is real bad

If you are hearing pinging you need to pull you head off and look at the top of your piston! Make sure your good, if like what happend to me that noise your hearing is particles of piston going out your tail pipe! Send me your e-mail and ill send you some pics. if you want.

I’ve had it off once and not marks I’m going to scope it this week to check on it after a huge weekend

Where did you end up running the hose to that comes off the breather?

I put a filter on it for now, it sits right under the fuel tank
