That technique on the black Templar with his hair, I personally hate helmet-less miniatures but the shaven/hair darkening was really good👍
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
Cheers! Yeah, I think it's interesting how many people dislike the idea of helmet-less minis, but I do get it. I played around with the shaven idea ages ago but entirely forgot about it. It seems like a nice and easy way to add some depth to the face.
@S0upN1nja11 ай бұрын
I was thinking "He could probably take apart that mini if he stuck it in the freezer for a couple minutes". And then you mentioned you used Tamiya Thin. I immediately went "welp" and carried on with the video lol
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
Yeah...I go a little overboard with the thin cement at times 😄. I'm actually not familiar with the freezer trick, is that to make super glue more brittle ?
@S0upN1nja11 ай бұрын
@@AnotherDayMiniatures Yeah it makes it brittle enough to break the bond. I primarily use Gorilla Glue Gel so its a useful trick if a part isnt on right.
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
That's a good trick, I'll have to keep it in mind for the future. I often glue bases using super glue.

This is awesome bud. And the lore you did made sense on the Black Templars being in Necromunda since it's Imperial Fists Recruiting planet
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
Thanks, mate! Yeah, I was recently reading that the top of the Necromunda Primus is the Imperial Fists' chapter house. I thought it was a bit of outdated lore, but it turns out, as you said, it's a recruiting planet for them.

Do you think you could have gotten that chaos warrior furred cape onto the space marine and then managed to get the backpack on over it?
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
That was something I wanted to do originally however, since they are push-to-fit models, most parts are fused together in very odd ways. This is mainly because the cape includes shoulders, torso, and a few arms as well.

Intresting to see the size difference between a primaris and a chaos SM

I have the CSM sitting next to the terminators I did in the last video, it's even more wild. He doesn't even reach the terminator's neckline with the top of his head.

@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
Hell yeah! Always awesome to hear. I think you could get away with counting the shield as a 'melee' weapon. After all, no one would want to get bonked on the head with that much metal 😄.

@@AnotherDayMiniatures im thinking maybe get a squad of shield guys and run them as chosen
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
That could work really well, that shield gives them a very elite look. Perhaps basing them a tiny bit higher than other legionaries to reinforce that idea.

I feel like not enough people appreciate the sheer amount of badass chaos weaponry from aos. Ive used some of the basic chaos warriors weapons for loyalist marines because they arent that chaosy. My combi weapon lt uses a chaos warrior body and legs for base kit(lore is he killed a funny lookin heretic and took his armor because his was very damaged, and kept his helmet as a trophy)
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
Indeed. AoS In general has a lot of really cool stuff that can be used for kitbashes, the fact they have the same scale is also amazing. Your kitbashes sound fantastic, I really enjoy the idea of space marines using what they can find to repair their damage.
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
If you have a favorite between the two and would like to see their theme continued in a future kitbash, let me know. Maybe this could be an alternative timeline where Necromunda has been lost for good, or where the Templars take it back.

I'm just kitbashing my own csm kill team ! Cant decide on a paint scheme though, any suggestions ?
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
That's awesome! What theme do you have in mind for their backstory? Additionally, are you looking for something simpler to army paint, or is time less of a factor?
@martindunn454511 ай бұрын
@@AnotherDayMiniatures They're à mix of the New csm models, death guard and admech parts so the backstory is linked to some dark mechanicum daemon world in the eye of terror. As for painting time, that isn't much of an issue as I don't particularly play large scale 40k and don't plan on painting à whole army. For now I've got 15 models and they're base coated in green-gold gunmetal but I'm not sure as to the accent colours (purple is à bit cliché ). Any input would be much apreciated !
@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
@@martindunn4545 Damn, that sounds really cool. I've been thinking about Dark Mech for a while, but they seem like a really challenging kitbash to tackle. With the introduction of Vashtorr in the lore, it sounds like a perfect combo. For the additional color, I honestly think a pure red, maybe fading into a bit of bright orange, would be a fantastic combination. It matches the theme of Dark Mech and accents green really well. Gold is more of a neutral color and works well with red (think Custodes).

@AnotherDayMiniatures11 ай бұрын
@EngraTodesklinge11 ай бұрын
Das ist natürlich eine Option wenn man das Modell doppelt hat. Manchmal kommen die besten Ideen erst, wenn die Modelle gebaut sind.
