I think in their minds, other scam groups doing the same job means that the police have a harder time tracking them down. That said, I do think this guy figures that if a scam buster is on to them, then it is probably just a matter of time before the police show up, so he would rather be working with the good guys then getting arrested by them.

I work in professional services, and once inadvertently answered my phone to a really important client while I was sat on the toilet in the office. The mental gymnastics my brain went through as I realised I needed to somehow find a way to mute my phone, flush the toilet, then run far enough away from the flushing toilet before I was able to unmute and respond to his queries was beyond intense. The memory still haunts me to this day, and I’ve never answered the phone while in the bathroom since.

I have been contacted by scammers atleast 3 times a day for the last 3 weeks over medicare eligiblity and microsoft. Im 29 and dont even own a computer...I would love to be able to give you their numbers to see if you could make them squirm.
