It's actually so fucked when you consider what Kitboga is (very succesfully) doing to be funny should be percieved by a normal, empathic person (were it a real situation) as signs the person they're trying to scam is particularly vulnerable, elderly, potentially with dementia etc etc. Yet the scammers persist for hours and sometimes laugh as well. @@Jaylio the fake old lady starts talking about it around about 34 minutes in, and he tries to interrupt a few times and then he gives up and lets her talk about how proud his parents must be and doesn't interrupt her at all for a bit. Then he says "Yes, madam, thank you for that" and tries to steer her back to the business of getting scammed. Then "she" gets a bit more direct, talking about how horrible scammers are and asks him "what kind of person does that, how would you feel if someone did that to your mother?" and he is silent again for a bit. I don't think he feels genuinely guilty even for a moment, just a weird mix of annoyed shame and awkwardness and determination that she isn't going to get away with making him feel bad, he is going to get the money from her. If he was able to feel genuinely guilty, he wouldn't be doing this shitty sort of work.
