Dear Kit Armstrong, I rather appreciate your approach to play Couperin on a concert grand. Passion is not a thin thing, so the far more dynamic and singing sound of a grand piano, in comparison to a harpsichord, fits very well in my opinion. Moreover you play in best romantic manner, I mean heartfelt and sensitive in every note, and with some freedom of tempo, in opposition to many musicians of the ancient music performance practice. Couperin is great on harpsichord or pianoforte ! You have just to listen to Sokolov : it's just mesmerizing !

Wunderbar ausgehorcht, vollkommen beherrscht, jeder Ton in seinem Recht. Kein Romantizismus trotz viel Dynamik und Agogik. Die Werbeunterbrechung (!) ist eine unverzeihliche Zumutung.
