Here is what you do with those five hours: 1. Call one of your friends. Tell them what's for dinner. Ask them to bring the beer (or red wine). 2. Call two more friends. Tell them what's for dinner. Tell them they are responsible for salad and dessert. 3. Make potato salad. Chill for at least two hours. 4. Get the living room ready for a dinner party. 5. Put on music suitable for rib-eating. 6. Your friends are here-Bon appetit!

I wonder what she's up to after 15 years (since this video was uploaded). I think I first came across her presence in as many years when I first started to take an interest in cooking at home and the immediate fact that struck me was her quaint little kitchen space. It resonated with me because my own place isn't that much larger and her organization inspired me beyond her culinary prowess. Come to think of it, I've been at this location since 2010-11 so it's pretty close. It's really serendipitous because I came across another video on smoking meat in the kitchen and her video was the 2nd suggested video. I was wondering about her videos just a few weeks ago and had trouble remember her name / channel. Glad I came across it again.

I’m watching this in 2018 and it’s nuts to see how astronomically different the production value of NYT videos are... this has a very “Good Eats” vibe to it!

smoke alarms definitely need a timer to shut it down while you're doing heavy cooking.

Dang that's alot of foil!!! Lmao I create a "indoor" smoker way easier and I smoke chicken and it comes out great! Ribs are next!

I would get Clostaphobic in that kitchen. Why dont you use a food grinder to break up those pepercorns.? much easier.
