Photo's always show Big beautiful Kitchens! It would be nice to show a small Galley Kitchen or small kitchens that are in a small Patio Home.

I have a peninsula style kitchen and just had my countertops replaced. Unfortunately they extended my stone slab backsplash to the end of the counter instead of ending it at the cabinet. I don't know what to do now since it's done.

Nice video. Can a quartz backsplash go behind a gas hob? Will quartz be okay with heat coming out from the flames flowing outwards when a pan/pot is on the hob ?

I would check with the manufacturer of the slab you plan to work with. It could vary from not recommended to not covered by warranty should something happen. I have used quartz behind a gas range without issues in the past, but it was also offset by an extra 6" of space as the countertops went behind the range/cooktop.

Debating between tile and a slab, my concern is I am using an industrial type stove that stills out a bit from the end of the cabinets just because of the range style. Will using a slab make it stick out further?

The short answer - typically no, not for a kitchen. However, there are certain situations where it could work depending on the space and the style of the kitchen.

Go with a shiny stainless if you want a mirror look.

Here, it has been traditional to tile up to the ceiling for cleaning purposes, but it's an aspect I don't care for. The tile can be full of drilled holes and can look very unattractive.
