Worth checking the lighting for electrical faults but by the videos it seems to be energy saving bulbs so they will take slightly longer to turn on fully. Worth changing the bulbs first before paying for someone to come out and check the electrics. Would love a link to the colour used in Brads man cave room, plus the sockets.

The thing with the dimmer switches might be that the past owners put the wrong type of light/bulbs in. Not all bulbs are dimmable & they can flicker on & off (& even buzz) if you dim down a bulb which is supposed to be just an on/off one.

with the dimmers…try just changing the light bulbs to 60 watts...Standard LED light bulbs.. i had the same issue.

The shutter like cupboards are designed to hide all your counter top electrical items. Slide up the shutter and you have access to the toaster, coffee machine etc. Pull them down and they are hidden from view.

Em, do you not do have someone come in and complete a home inspections prior to final purchase? In the USA, we have a home inspector come in prior to purchase, its a 6-8 hr ordeal. They find these types of issues and more, not always, but it helps to have them done. This is part of homeowner growing pains, it will be okay! :) Purchasing a home is worth it in the end!! Best wishes to you!
