Wow, love that cabinet color! I think a battery operated wall light over the window, lighting up the sink would look great, maybe with a metal shade that mirrors the hardware on the cabinets? A patterned large rug would look great between the island & cabinets would totally bring it all together! Nice job!

I did consider a light above the sink, but the space between the top of the window frame and the ceiling is small so it looked very crammed. We also do have a recessed light right above the sink so that lights it up! Thank you for watching!! ☺️🖤

The contact paper is definitely easier to put on with a second person so you can smooth the paper as they pull it! I also pulled it right over the sink the second time and trimmed it out so it looked nicer. Thank you for watching and the kind words! 🤗

Omgosh! I was getting worried you were MIA😒 Chelsea, this is definitely the prettiest kitchen I have seen yet, I cannot pick a favorite part, it's just perfect, the color of the cabinets, the pulls, the framed out window, the 2nd counter top ❤️ , & that island is perfect. Thank you so much! The contact paper is definitely a great option if you can’t replace the counter top. I do plan to put something above the shiplap, but I didn’t love anything I considered, so I didn’t want to just put something up for the sake of it. 😊😊

Your kitchen looks great! I love the look of the contact paper counter top. One tip, the 2" blinds are very easy to shorten, and you won't have the "stack" at the bottom.

@@LoveourLord24 on the bottom rail are some little plugs that pop out. Remove the bottom rail and then you can slide out each individual slat. Take your time and inspect how they are put together--you don't want to cut it too short or not be able to get it back together. I'm sure there are KZbin videos on how to do it!

I am so glad I ran across your channel. We have started thinking about remodeling our Kitchen (and baths) in our premanufacture home. We basically have the same cabinets as you. I was so impressed with what you did in your video, your kitchen turned out absolutely amazing and looks very much like what I hope to achieve. It definitely made me realize that the work and steps involved to make it look like this are not going to be a quick weekend job like so many other videos had me believing.We are now thinking that perhaps we are better off redesigning and fixing a few things we hate about the kitchen layout and going with new cabinets . It seems like some of the off the shelf options at some of the big box store are not horribly priced. Love your channel, thank you

Absolutely beautiful! The window trim makes a HUGE difference! My husband built and installed similar craftsman style trim around all of our windows and it just makes them look more grand and finished. Where did you get the piece that’s sitting on your counter to the left of your stove (holding the jars and cutting boards)?

It looks amazing! you did a great job. I used the same contact paper for my kitchen, I managed to finish putting it down but it was difficult not to have air bubbles on it. I also painted the cabinets just like you did, but did not used the wood filling, It was too much work and they came out fine. My total renovation cost around $200 but it looks amazing and it will give me some time for me before I can really replace the counter tops with Quartz. You did a very professional job and I admire you for it. 💓

Wow! The second contact paper looks better! I was going to suggest installing under the cabinet lights to get rid of the blue tone, but the switch is so much better! I have wanted to paint my oak cabinets for ages, I have the paint that needs no priming or sanding, and paid outrageous amount for the gallon. It's still in the garage sitting and I don't even know how many years it has been.

This looks amazing!!! I love all of your choices and the new contact paper looks so much better. I love the warm tones of the cabinets and the gold. It has some personality and doesn't look like every other white kitchen. I love the window trim. What a difference. The only suggestion I have is that you may want to add some crown molding to the top of the cabinets. It is amazing what a little trim adds to the cabinets. Great job!!

Fill grain by adding water to light weight spackle till it the consistency of pancake batter. Then paint it on.

Aww thank you! Ughhhh the lighting 😫. So you couldn’t see it in this video, but my kitchen has 3 different types of lighting, including a pendant hanging in a place that doesn’t make sense lol. We are going to bring in a professional to see what the options and cost are. So YES I would love to change the lighting. And you will see the kitchen again for the fall 😉
