Hi guys! In today’s video I’ll be doing a bedroom makeover on a budget using primarily thrifted decor. I have been wanting to change this space for some time, but wasn’t certain on the direction I wanted to go. While I’m still considering putting art over my bed, I am happy with the outcome for now!

My guess on the shelves is that the hardware was intended to be hung either way with wood up or racks up. I love the choice you made in hanging them!

Keeping the same curtains is good because it keeps the room from feeling closed in and they’re similar to the paint color which allows the eye to move around the room. I love the vignette you set up in the corner. It’s amazing how it really adds definition to the room and makes the room expand to its fullest size. Great reminder to not forget about those corners - they’re just as much part of the room as the walls you placed the bed and dresser on. Beautiful final project! 😀

The shelves bottom piece is not wrong it’s in case you want to turn the shelf around and use the shelf part.. there is two ways for that shelf to be used. You only put screws on the top part only so you only need two screws. And everything looks beautiful 😘

I love the paint color! I use painters tape to hang everything..such A great hack! I think the hooks that are upside down may be so you can hang them with the metal on bottom.. Gives you an option. I have a set of 3 with metal pieces on the ends i can hang either way. The nook looks good, you styled it really pretty😊 Maybe A one or a couple pieces of art over the bed? I think the entire room turned out great.. very pretty, cozy & bright! Thanks for sharing

My husband has a fit when I try to hang anything above our headboard. He thinks it will fall on us. Nothing I’ve ever hung there has. But I stopped doing it. I have a framed picture I want to hang up somewhere in our bedroom. I’m guessing not over the bed. Because I don’t want to listen to him. I have room on the wall beside a chest of drawers. Which I want to move. We just have too much furniture in our bedroom. I love the color you ended up painting your bedroom. I like neutrals. I had a burnt orange quilt on my bed. But it ended up being too much for me. So now I have a taupe comforter on our bed. And it looks much better. We have two windows that are together. And we have blinds on them. I still haven’t put any curtains up. I’m afraid my dogs will ruin them. They go in our bedroom if we have people come in or out our front door. We have a lot of semi feral cats who are always out front. And we don’t want the dogs getting out and bothering them. And one of the dogs fits up in our windowsills and sits. So if I put up curtains, I’m going to have to keep them way away from the window. So I just don’t have any. But I think it would make the room look better. I may rearrange the bedroom. And get rid of something. That way it would look better.

I don’t think so because if they were flipped, you would see all the hardware attachments, which are supposed to be hidden. Maybe there is something I’m not thinking of, though!
