I loved this update! I know you have often talked about how glamorous home renovations are in the social media space, but I prefer watching updates piece by piece like this (my favorite home renovation "series" are yours and the now deleted house files from jimmy). It's like putting in pieces of a puzzle to make a home as opposed to cookie decorating. Funnily enough, the first thing I ever changed of my house was the kitchen, but I felt very similarly to you about my bedroom as you probably did your kitchen with it being the last piece of work done. Congratulations on reaping the reward to all your efforts! (I truly commend it; I fully gave up painting while working full time after doing my bathroom and kitchen and saved to get professional painters in for the rest of the house).

Lucy your kitchen is absolutely stunning 😍🧡😍🧡 I love the tiles. A tip for under the sink is if you've any extra shelves try to put one in, on top you can have baskets for tea towels & bin bags etc & then a high part for the cleaning bits!

My kitchen dreams and ideas also started with the zellige tiles! (they started when I saw the tiles first, I bought the house years later haha) But now I have a house and a kitchen to build and I bought beautiful dark green ones and can't wait. Yours turned out beautifully!

A very useful tip if you need to paint with the same coulor over several days: DON'T clean the roller in between!!! Just wrap it in clingfilm. The paint will stay wet and you can use the roller the next day. I promise: It works!

The kitchen looks amazing. I love how neutral it is with a pop of colour from the fridge. Also love the fixings for the shelving - is that weird? The floor still looks fab & the tiles were a great shout. I don't know how you managed to make so many decisions. Oh it looks so beautiful!! Those tiles are stunning, especially with the chunky wood shelves. Gorgeous 😍 I recently bought some gold paint at homebase and I'm going to paint the copper pipes at the radiators. It was a tip from our plumber to save on 'radiator sleeves'. I've tried a small section and it looks ace and is working so far 🤞🤞 might look nice on yours what with all your lovely gold touches 👌

Kitchen looks sooooo good. Twas definitely worth the wait. I love the mother of pearl wall tiles and they reflect so much light and give texture and dimension to the walls. So happy to see Smeg in his/her true home, although I guess you and Adam will get more exercise now having to sleck all the way to the kitchen to get a beer/ice cream. What a beautiful kitchen! It really amazes me how you can imagine it all before it’s there! Like when you showed the tiles I really wasn’t convinced but when they were on the wall, they looked so stunning!! The whole finished kitchen is a dream 🥰 oh and tip about cleaning paint rollers …or not cleaning them: when you use them over multiple days you can put them in a plastic bag while they’re wet, tie the bag so no air gets in and you can just reuse the roller the next day without having to wash them (which is a task I hate 😅).
