Just about to experiment with one of these gadgets. Lo and behold Muds got a video on it. Well done and quick right to the point. Quality work.

This was the most informative video on KZbin about this gadget. Thank you for showing all of us how do use a peeler everyone seems to avoid it with this product.

Excellent video! My peeler wasn’t peeling so I shaved off that notch and now it works very well! Thank you!!!

Obviously late to see this, but a huge thanks for the actual demonstration, and the modification suggestions as well. I"m already a subscriber to your excellent cast iron channel, this was a surprise bonus from a trusted source. Go Pack!

I have that attachment set...works great. In the fall, we have an apple tree that outdoes itself, so I really put the apple peeler to work! Also fun with the spiralizer attachment for spuds. Good video!

OK, that did it for me! 😆👏🏻. I WANT!!!!! What a FANTASTIC demonstration, Mud. I appreciate you doing this so much! Just reason #9,748 why I love ya!!!!😁❤️💋 I can see this being a must have for canning apples and apple pie filling!!!!😍 But now I want to deep fry taters and make nests!🤣 My kids would LOVE that!😍 I love that you modified it, correcting their design flaws. 😆👍🏻 I also love that its dishwasher safe, minus the main body. Thats another game changer for me. I really despised the counter top, hand crank manual peeler I have. So much so I tossed two in the trash. Not even worth donating! The suction cups NEVER EVER held to the counter top. It was such a nightmare. I thought I just got a bad one so bought a second one. Nope. Just a terrible design. This is a must have for me. Thank you so much. Its on my birthday wish list now. 😆👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I found one of these spiralizers for $7 and a thrift shop complete in the Box. I'm going to have to use it more often. The most I'm done with it so far is peel potatoes for Thanksgiving.

I think you just sold me on an electric deep fryer. I hate, abhor, and despise cleaning up after frying. But now that I got the brilliant idea of putting the darn thing in the sink, I may just get one.

It works really well, and if things get out of hand and it boils over (not that something like that has ever happened to me :) ) you don't have an oil slick on your counter.

I got one last year, but I haven’t used it yet. I want to spiralize some zucchini and use that in place of pasta. Bought some in the freezer section to try it and it is really delicious.

I've always wondered what folks do with the oil after deep frying? do you toss it, if so, how? Do you save it, does it need to be refrigerated, how many uses do you get out of it before disposal? Great Video!
@TheMudbrooker4 жыл бұрын
I re-use it, it doesn't need refrigeration. I let it cool and settle out any stray solids from whatever I fried overnight then pour it through a strainer back into the jug. How long it'll last depends on what you fry in it, eventually it will darken from the juices that cook out and whatever batter or coating you use scorching. Frying chicken, it'll usually last 8-10 uses, frying just potatoes it'll last a lot longer.

Thank you for the great demonstration. Can it just peal without spiralizing? Or does the pealer have to work with the spiralizer?

Yes, you can just peel things. Or you can spiralize them without peeling, too.

My peeler doesn’t click in place. I used it yesterday for the first time, and it was fine. It slides off because of it not clicking into place. Do you have any suggestions?
@karankeeone4 ай бұрын
The blade attachments are supposed to be pushed in until you hear the "click". Also we should remove the blade and peeler attachments to the end (beginning?) of the worm gear BEFORE removing the food...it's safer.

I will be cutting or chopping some potatoes in about 2 hours. I have not made my mind up yet but I know I will be done before I could drag a KitchenAid out of the closet. Beyond making bread , why would anybody want one? It reminds my of my friend Jack who thought he needed a school cafetiria size floor mixer for bread. He could now make more loaves of the same cake type bread he always had made, just more of it.
@TheMudbrooker4 жыл бұрын
If you don't do much baking, yeah, a stand mixer is overkill and a floor model is outright insane. I use mine quite a bit for bread and baking and I use the grinder/sausage stuffer attachment often as well. Like everything else in life, it's a question of whether the usefulness is worth the cost.

There's all kinds of cool machinery you hang on the front of a KitchenAid mixer, meat grinders, ice cream makers, noodle rollers, you name it.
@OkieRob4 жыл бұрын
I can tell you the peeler doesn't work on ripe pears. It will hang up and the spike will ream out the middle of the pear and flop around. I'll have to look and see if my peeler has the little stop on it. I just bought it last fall.

Wow. An expensive, complicated, difficult to set up piece of equipment to do things I have never, ever wanted to do with vegetables and never will want to do. Oh, and you have to modify it to get it to work almost properly in the first place. Yeah, I'm gonna rush out and buy me one of them.
@TheMudbrooker4 жыл бұрын
Leave out the word "vegetables" and you have my exact opinion of smartphones. Even if I only use it to do prep work during apple season, It's well worth the cost to me. But if you don't have a need for something like this, don't buy it.

I bought one of these a few years ago when they first came out. It worked fine a first but soon started skipping along the wot drive screw making it unusable. Don’t waste your money.
