This was a great video! We had it hooked it up incorrectly after watching the Kitchenaid video. We appreciated the step by step without unnecessary commentary!

This was such an easy to watch and educational piece. Very informative. You named all the pieces you touched (spindle, cutter, blade, dry shaft). It made it so easy to understand.

I was successful for the first time today! I have tried more times than I can count and failed up til now. The size of zucchini and loading it the way you did made a difference. Thank you.

Thank you so much! Great tutorial!! One suggestion; you don’t have to keep taking the spindle off. You can just stick your next zucchini on it each time. 😍

The blade is to be pushed in until you hear a click I believe. Also we should remove the peeler and blade (moved to the front of the worm drive) before trying to remove the core, etc. Then with the blade & peeler removed, you can just place the next vegetable, apple, etc. right onto the spike (holder).

How do you do a larger zucchini? When I try to spiralize it, it just cores out the center and stops spinning. It is very annoying that the zucchini has to be just the right size to use the spiralizer!

I have had the same problem. In the video he takes the spindle off each time to place the zucchini in a straight line. I will try that

ALL Kitchenaid and Kenmore elite stand mixers will fit any and all kitchen aid attachments. Both mixers are built by Whirlpool And Even kitchen aid models going back to the 1920s use the same size accessory hub. All Sears Kenmore elite stand mixers including the Kenmore elite ovation use the exact same hub.

I regret having wasted money on this expensive and dificult to use attachment, especially when you have space constraints that do not allow for having the mixer always readily available. The same can be done easier with a $14 standalone spiralizer.
@BWeezy-sw1wy3 жыл бұрын
I found this device at Target for $100. Also they have a manual hand crank with a suction to a table for $40. I just don’t know how wide of a zucchini the $100 one will handle. The $40 one looks like it handles butternut squash and cabbage with a radius up to 4 inches from the core.

My Kitchen Aid is a tilt head...will the spiralizer work on it?
@Around_The_Home5 жыл бұрын
While I own the bowl lift mixer, the KitchenAid web site says the spiralizer fits all household KitchenAid Stand Mixers that have a power hub. The accompanying pictures on the web site show both the bowl lift and the tilt head mixers using the spiralizer.
@Albertojedi5 жыл бұрын
The attachments compatibility is not dependent on the mixer's tilting system. It works with your machine.

Hey the video is good, but I ha e one problem, my zucchini keeps being pushed to the back after a while, what can I do to stop that?
@Around_The_Home5 жыл бұрын
If I understand the issue, make sure you push the zucchini firmly onto the spiked spindle. Most of the spikes and center spindle should be inside the zucchini.
@kristinburns31465 жыл бұрын
Do you put it on stir or 1? When I’ve tried it the back of the zucchini on the spindle it spins how do I stop that?
@Around_The_Home5 жыл бұрын
I use the Stir setting. I am not sure I fully understand the question. The spindle is suppose to turn. That is what causes the zucchini to rotate. If the spindle is not turning, make sure the spindle is fully seated onto the Spiralizer. It pushes on and then you turn it slightly to lock into place. If the spindle is turning but the zucchini is not, make sure the black spikes on the spindle are fully inserted into the zucchini.
@kristinburns31465 жыл бұрын
AroundTheHome it just spins and the back of the zucchini gets shredded to the point that it doesn’t spin the zucchini
@Around_The_Home5 жыл бұрын
Kristin, if I understand it, the spindle rotates but the zucchini does not. I am assuming you are using fresh, uncooked zucchini. So it should be firm. Also, I assume you are cutting the tips off the zucchini so that (most of) the black spikes of the spindle are fully inserted into the zucchini. If all of this is correct, then take a look at the other end where the cutter is to be sure it is not binding the zucchini and preventing it from rotating. The cutter just holds the zucchini and as the zucchini rotates, it slices 'itself' against the cutter.
