With homeownership quickly declining especially for younger generations, do you believe that the balance of power will shift to non homeowners; which will influence government policy in the future? We can already see this in many municipalities, and provincial governments as well with immigration policy.

Certainly possible, especially with Liberal or NDP governments.

Actually an interesting observation. type of government will determine this more so than the change in market share of owners/renters I think.
