I'm not a game store owner but I am a tcg player. Not sure why but I find store owner content way more interesting then player driven content. I think it's the peak behind the curtain. The game I play and run events for isn't carried at Game Grove but I still find a lot of the content very interesting so please keep up the good work!!

The perspective that isn't seen often can be very interesting.

@StevieSparkZ I think it's also I want to learn the business. I've been a tournament organizer since the 90s and I strive to make my games be profitable and help the store. It helps to know what store owners are concerned about and what makes them happy to accomplish that goal

I've had the honor to meet Louie twice now. Once at Gobocon, and once at his shop when a friend and I drove up to check it out. Nice guy. You can actually have a conversation with him and not feel like he just wants you to buy something and move on. Hopefully, with schools letting out, I can make the trek up to actually play in an event or two.

It isn't lame at all dawg. Love to hear it. I had such a relationship with my local comic shop, and they really managed to hunt down all manner of my favorites... and a few I didn't know about but wound up loving. It's a great thing.

Love this series of videos! What are some of the most effective ways I as a customer can support a local game store? Are there particular events that are useful to show up to, certain kinds of products that are a lot higher-margin than others, etc?

Because the TCGplayer market isn’t small enough, Louie is going to capture the card store OWNER viewerbase 😅 “A niche within a niche” or whatever George would say

You should absolutely take pride in what you've accomplished, don't let anyone take that away from you, including yourself. It's awesome that you find joy in aiding others find joy in their hobbies and that you have found a way to make a living off of that. I'm in the process of designing my TCG, so I clicked on these vids to learn a business owner's perspective. In your "Things I HATE" vid, you spoke about what a pain it is to compete locally with people who hate you just for existing. What do you think are things a TCG company could do to make LGS owners' lives easier and/or make hosting TCG events around its TCG product more enjoyable and/or profitable for both the TCG company and the LGS?

I would love to open a store and I can afford it plenty but then I would have to compete with people I like and the stores around me and I wouldn t want to do that to them so instead I plan on partnering with them in the future on a non profit project I m working on. That way everybody wins
