I was so surprised when I found out people actually enjoyed the narration... It honestly almost made me stop watching because it felt like I was just listening to an audiobook while watching gifs. Like if this was a novel then it would've been cool but it's not, it's supposed to be an anime but it stopped feeling like one during certain episodes of this arc. They could've just shown me what's happening but instead they decided to simply tell me. I just think that a lot of scenes would've really benefited from being fast and intense instead of just consisting of a few slow motion shots with a 10 minute monologue, and I would've preferred to hear the characters' thoughts straight from them instead of a third party telling me what they're thinking. I guess this is an unpopular opinion but the long ass monologues really ruined the immersion for me personally.

This is by far my favorite arc of all time ! You'll see that everything related to this arc is perfectly approached and developed (the themes, the characters: antagonist and protagonist; the atmosphere, the evolution)... The kite encounter here has received a lot of criticism even in Japan. The criticism is the same as everyone else. The reason why the changes were made is because the production side had originally intended to end the story with the Greed Island arc, but had no intention of going beyond the Ant arc.

@@houseofaction 1. his name is Ging not Jin, as in, the german word for 'went'. 2. while it's true Mito demanded Ging give away Gon, he still shirked away his responsibility to her. there was no legal battle, he could of said no. while yes, it's better off that Gon was given to Mito, as otherwise Ging would probably instantly start training him as a child soldier (atleast by giving him to Mito, this happens at age 12 instead of 4), he's scum for choosing to have a child and not look after him properly, choosing not to wage him. he shouldn't of HAD Gon in the first place morally speaking if he's going to either raise him as a child soldier or something, or pawn him off to Mito

@@houseofaction Let's not try to salvage him . He did not even try to fight it , hell he chose to bring the kid in front of an otherwise oblivious Mito . The whole "mito took custody" thing is only there to soften the blow , and have him pretend he cared . And he would still be a crappy father if bringing Gon along his dangerous elite hunter adventures .

Still no one knows why they didn't include the very beginning of the manga in the 2011 adaptation. They gave us a dumbass conversation instead. Watching this after seeing the first episode of the 1999 adaptation made me think that Gon and Kite were being amnesiacs

For the love of God so many people miss the part where they say ging is a three star Hunter but since he was lazy and didn't feel like to go back and get reevaluated and promoted from two star to three star , it's infuriating , even Carson failed to bring it up . Lindsey is becoming more more talkative interruptively these days and miss so much info. And Carson just doesn't give a shit and just ignores it and even worse joins up and make lame jokes . 😫😫
