I've heard a theory regarding that, which I find rather interesting: It's basic knowledge that the stronger the hatsu, the greater the cost. So, for Kite to get a strong power he made a slot machine with a variety of great weapons (power), but designed to give him bad spins (cost). Kite, however, has found a way of "tricking the system" by making the slot machine sentient. It basically means it's able to learn what Kite counts as a bad spin through Kite's reaction to the results, and grants him a weapon accordingly. Except Kite's reactions are fake. He calls it a bad spin when it in reality is the best choice for the situation. Notice how he never bothers to explain his power for Gon and Killua, although they react to it vocally on more than one occasion. It makes sense if it's because he takes great lengths to hide the truth from his very own slot machine. I don't know, it's probably wrong, but it's at least a fun theory.

Yunji got fully played. Kite had full focus and completely committed to finishing the fight just so he could observe Gon's battle and asses his resolve. Great animation. Kite totally outmatched every opponent he faced except Pitou. His loss set the stage for the gravity of the rest of the arc. Masterfully written!

He is just as OP as he already is with his abilities, when his Emperor Time activated it gives him a 100% proficiency of all the nen category, means he could keep up with a 100% Echancer nen user (excluding raw mass strength like muscles), he could block an 100% Enhancer user attack like Uvo without dying and only a little damage. Just like what Chrollo said Kurapika only weakness is his unstable mental/emotional state. He's just as efficient as he was ever been, he's fast and agile, each of his chain support him in a battle pretty much in a great way, each with special ability. His Emperor Time is so OP that Togashi need to put him in *cut lifespan every time ET activated rule.* Doesn't matter what you say, he's in the same league with people like Hisoka and Morel, he's even way more versatile with his nen. Among the strongest? He isn't there yet, but he will, but neither is Hisoka is never in the league among the strongest people like Ging, Netero, The Royal Guards, and etc (Mereum excluded since he's simply too much OP to handle).

Kite’s ability doesn’t have bad spins, he says so because his ability always gives him the best opportunity to defeat/kill his enemy. Kite doesn’t like to kill which is why he always says bad spin except for the one time he fought Pitou; which is when his ability saved his life instead of killing Pitou.

I think I finally understand the point of "Damn. Bad spin." It obviously isn't because he doesn't like taking life, he is fully capable of it and even encourages others to do so if necessary. I think it's because the weapons he crafted for his spins are so impractical and have almost zero utility, that he has to compensate for such issues. Like the scythe especially. If I remember what I saw, the scythe can only function of utilized a specific way. I think the gun might fit under that same category. A high powered pistol with a five foot long stock would be difficult to use, but since his time becoming a pro, he knows how they function and what method to use them in. Actually a very ingenious contract!

as a squadron leader, Yunji should be far stronger than average nen users like Pokkle. He would even win if he fought against Gon at that time. It's just that Kite was on a whole another level. Other squadron leaders, like Zazan, Leol, and Cheetu, are very strong even without their hatsu. So, Yunji should be around their power levels, considering the consistent hierarchy of the Chimera Ant.

He would speedblitz and burn Zazan in a cellular level to ashes less than 1 second 😆 The hierarchy of chimera ants is absolute, so no matter how much different Zazan's power level is with other squadron leaders, the difference wouldn't even come close to the difference of power levels between squadron leaders and royal guards.

Am I the only one who's still figuring out how Kite was able to trip a centaur? He puts his arm on top of the centaur's arm and the legs looked like it's already tripped, but he only used his legs to quickly move left, not to trip. Are centaurs always off balanced at every time they charge and throw a fist?

One of the more disappointing moments for me, Kite was awesome. I love his powers, his look and the way he went about things. Killed him off way too early , I know he comes back but I hate he new design. I liked when he looked like this, his death would have been more impactful if we got to know him more rather than him getting killed offscreen -_-
