So what's the verdict? Love that compressed wider depth of field with the 800mm 5.6 but it's seems like it's way too tight for filming the surfers. 600/4 it is! Thanks so much for showing us what it looks like to shoot surfing with this lens

This is the 800 mm f11 lens. I love it but I bought it for bird photography mostly

It's definitely y too tight for capturing the kiteboarders when they jump.
