Hi Andreas, this was really useful for me since i have just kited at KBA Hua Hin and it is as you know superb! But now back in Munich :-( But want to kite again around Hua Hin in Nov --- Dec. What is the season for the north wind and would you recommend staying around Panburi rather than in Hua Hin for the Nov-Dec period? Thanks.

Yes November to January is north wind season. The best Wind days come with high tides and almost no beach to set up Gear. So we go kite at Squid beach Paknam Pranburi or further south 5km Khao Kalok Beach. Paknam Pranburi is a fishing town, not a place to stay for tourist. They dry Squid everywhere and that smell not good. Further south to Khao Kalok are some hotels. Good for families but nothing else maybe boring. A nice beach promenade for walk or cycling. If you want some nightlife and city too I better recommend to stay in HuaHin and just go Pranburi for the good wind days. If wave and tide not super high can kite at HuaHin beach too.

Hello, there are a few shops in HuaHin and Paknam Pranburi selling kite gear. KBA Kiteboarding Asia main Branch HuaHin Soi (Road) 75/1 sell mainly Cabrinha and F-one Kite and Wingfoil Gear and I see some Core and Peter Lynn also. Duotone kite Club has full range of all Duotone Gear HuaHin Soi 67 opposite Market Village shopping mall. Surf Spot had RRD shop before but I think it’s closed. In Paknam Pranburi is the GoKite shop sell Airush but small shop. The SAPYO sell Ozone and Reedin gear. Right now I don’t have a Map. Maybe I can add GPS positions in the video description. Regards.
