Hello, I have this incredible attack helicopter case and it really is SUPER thick steel and solid. When you showed the movement side to side flex at the 16:05 (Time) in the video. You have forgotten to install the (2) long installation bolts that extend into the Case Expansion Slots section from the single solid steel column post. If you look at the steel column you will see the (2) holes. You may have uninstalled them when removing the motherboard's sliding panel but rest assured, after they are bolted back into place the case will not move from side to side. I do agree with the open back design but realistically any child could also simply open the glass doors. THIS CASE IS EXTREMELY HEAVY DUTY AND SOLID and James is on Point that it's a BONKERS case. I enjoyed your review !!

Looks good, probably a good thing for smaller rooms with hotter temperatures. In a dusty environment cleaning would have to be done very often probably, so I would not pick an open chassis like that. I am also scared that open cases like these are more prone to accidents. Someone drops something inside or spills by accident etc. Otherwise I loved the music accompanying the build, a great video indeed.

I just bought this case and the bold design is why I transferred the parts from gaming pc - Lian Li Dynamic to this one - for now I call it Airwolf 1987 (look up the show from the 80s for you young kids!). Agree with your comments after spending the last 8 hrs working on it - cable management is key. Also agree with your comment about making it more rigid on the back, but it would probably add more weight to an already heavy case unless you had a light structural support bar. Overall - my teenage kids also thought it was a bit over the top - but for me, this is a show piece and a nod to the 80s. I will build another pc in the Lian Li - and it has been a great platform as well. I am going to start my first watercooling pc SO i need to save up $$$.

They went to a lot of effort designing this. I wish case would just design a case starting with the hardware in the best cooling configuration then design a case around that layout.

just wondering, when you mentioned that the case is kind of wobbly around 16:12, is it because the tempered glass panel is not on, which will provide additional stability to the case?

A couple of questions... no power supply filter? Also, the AIO, can the bezel be rotated? The reason for asking... if you have the in and out ports to the pump block were facing up, the hoses could be up over the radiator fans instead of across them. Yes, the case is different, but not for me.
@KitGuruJames4 жыл бұрын
There is no vent for the power supply below, it must be installed with the fan facing up, so no filter. Unfortunately the AIO pump bezel cannot be rotated, so its either tubes across fans or TT logo not the correct way up :)

It seems that, f.ex lets say one of the fans at the front stops working due to a faulty bearing... in order to replace it, you have to remove multiple other items first... which could be a huge job, depending.. wish the entire front fan section could be lifted out vertically after removing the "cockpit housing".

@darudesandstorm70024 жыл бұрын
the aesthetics aren't to my liking but putting them aside, it doesn't seem to be a case worth considering. minimal cable cutouts for e-atx mobo+radiator combo, the lack of grommets in the cable cutouts, no bracing in the rear, no cover plate for the wiring, no psu shroud etc are all signs that they didn't really put too much thought into the practical design elements of the case. glad to see companies that are willing to give honest reviews instead of a 'review' that basically amounts to an ad. keep up the good work!
@garethevans97894 жыл бұрын
To put it bluntly... The design seems dumb to me. Having fans in the front and open sides and back will mean a lot of the air will leak out the sides. They could have done something interesting such as vents to pull in cool air straight to the top-panel, or swinging bracket to allow radiators to be fitted to the back. or they could allow the motherboard to be rotated so the back is facing the top. They could have done more for the bottom of the case to allow some radiators to be fitted. The people that buy this would have more money than sense, so I guess function isn't a priority. It is unique, I'll give it that. I'll give it 3 days before it needs cleaning (and yeah I agree, the cable management could have been better). I guess I'm not the target market as Il still to my Define XL R1 (from 2011). Zero RGB (even the power LED has been dimmed). I want a new case, I just haven't seen one that ticks enough boxes: Enclosed PSU shroud to contain 4-6 hard drives (that includes not leaving the bottom open to bounce noise off wooden floors. No line of sight from fans to my ears, with a sealed top panel (in case I spill a drink on my desk). I'd actually like to see a similar setup for the top fans as the XL (it has a 180mm top fan angled to direct air out the back), but instead allow 2 or 3 140mm fans/ radiator to direct air out the back. Plus, I'd prefer to have the option to mount fan(s) on the side panel pointing at the GPU to help it breathe rather than glass. The case is actually working well, even on a hot day (hi from sunny London) the 3950x is boasting above 4.5ghz one 8 of the cores and some of those hitting 4.6ghz. This is air-cooled with a D14 (with more powerful fans, they only hit 1,400rpm), the case fans everywhere! (4x140mm, 2x120mm plus the 180 and PSU) haven't hit 1,000rpm today. So I guess it's fine, but just fine is never enough.🤔 /cool story

I'm def going to save up money to get this one some day. And yes, I have a big desk. 220x80cm but I'm thinking of getting a 200x100 one later this year. I have a music studio at home and I use my machine for both gaming and producing/dj'ing music with all my DJ/Producer gear :) This would be one heck of an addition to my studio, especially when I'm performing live online (for a radiostation while videostreaming as well).
