I do like the Kith colorway on screen slightly more than the Teddy pair, but I had to restrain myself from even trying the raffle as the sneaker budget during the last couple of month has been stressed by “too many” great releases and Ws. I’m glad to see them in your collection.

These are so 🔥. I won a raffle for my half size down, but I had to sell and cop a TTS. First 990v3, and the toe box looks similar to yours. I think it has to do with the material. These are way better than the teddys, not really feeling the grey hits on those

My toe box is kinda boxy like you mentioned but, for me thy didn’t feel roomy at all. I went tts as I normally do and they fit identical to all my other 990v3’s …great review by the way

I believe the suede is cow hide vs the usual pigskin suede. The suede is the same for me on the 992, 998, and 999 steel blue

I think that's a major contributing factor to the construction issues Sean described regarding the toebox; the cowhide suede is cut thicker and used in places it normally wouldn't be, for example replacing the 3M & nubuck panels. Having multiple stacked layers of a thicker-than-usual material is going to throw the shape off.

So glad I won these via the raffle! Between the TS V3 and Kith V3 Steel Blue, the Kith looks perfect for Fall/ Winter, and the Teddy fits best for Spring/Summer, but can't go wrong with either! Interesting that you mentioned the roomy toebox; I didn't notice it at first, but I have slightly narrow feet tho. Just wondering, but which model do you like this CL silhouette best on?

Another great v3 this year. In person, the TS Navy pair has a slight edge over this Kith CL pair, but its very close, which is why I had to have both LOL. Like you said, I think there different enough to keep both and plus they're both 🔥. I have to thank you though. It's your detailed reviews that finally pushed me to get a pair of v3s earlier this year and I've now found a great looking shoe, that fits great and is incredibly comfortable. Wallet would disagree though 😆

Awesome review. I was legit upset I didn't get these lol I felt like these were so close to the Teddy's GR pair, so thought it'd be an easy cop. Nope! Interesting to know it fits bigger though. Wonder what happened there. Resale dropped a lot, so I might get these one day. But I just got the NB x JFG 991s and Mirage Grey 2002r from the latest Protection Pack, so I think I'm done collecting sneakers for the year 😂 maybe...

This is COWhide suede not pigskin suede. The suede is thicker and more durable as well as soft. These are 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Nothing like Teddy’s blue pair…these are Charcoal grey.

Seems like the boxiness of the toe is bc of the overlay used going over the mesh toebox/vamp. All my other v3s have a thinner (synthetic?) suede there and you can actually feel the overlap under the toe cap on the Kith's

Yes… the toebox feels roomier than the other 990v3s I have, such as teddy’s sea salts and marbleheads

@lew_bz That’s not quality issue. That’s the way the outsole rubber of the 990v3 is like since it existed
