what real Punjab? Pakistan has nothing to do with all these raags...all these raags have come from Saamved... also Urdu has no lineage with all these raags...they r all Hindustani classical raags...Bhairvi,, Bhairav, Bhankar, Barwa etc have all stemmed from Hindustani classical music...

@@amitprabhu2090 yes, at least they preserve those rags. Compare what's coming out of east punjab. It's nothing but rubbish. Their poetry, music is far sophisticated compared to east punjab. With exception of sarinder Sartaj, most of the singers are dont understand raga system. But you're absolutely right. The raga system is hindustani classical sangeet.

And secondly what they have in their music is in Punjab only, whereas Hindustani classical music is spread across India and not only East Punjab... Their music is all inherited from United India's classical preservations...that's the difference.

@@amitprabhu2090 true, we have remind ourselves that they're not Arab or Persian stock. They are from undivided india. Even though they are heavily influenced by them in terms of religion. They can never be Arab muslims. I have seen muslims from south Asia miss treated in Arab countries, even considered backward muslims. Still, their poetry is far more sophisticated than what east punjab is producing. Sorry to say, singers like sidhu musewala and yo yo honey singh have nothing to do with punjabi culture.

Bcoz Pak doesn't have any classical heritage of their own, they have adopted These Raags from Hindustani classical music. Punjabi culture has nothing to do with this, it's a separate topic.

He used to talk about his childhood n Urdu school n love with people n used to be emotional thinking of partition time how his friends helped him n family to get through to India in the middle of bloody violence. Very very sad..... I I'm highly highly keen to visit Pakistan all over want to spend good at least one whole month. Meet people out there our own people one fine day. Aameen.
