For new Kpop listeners, antis and toxicity in every fandom exist. It's like a recurring drama every time there's a new act coming up or a group promoting their new EP, or MV. It's been like this since the first gen of Kpop. The largest and most popular fandoms are usually the noisiest. The fans who excessively stan the company or group are usually the culprit and then entertainment news picks it up and blows it up. Accusations, plagiarism, death threats, bullying, hate, every fandom has done it to every group and even individual artists. If you watch or read entertainment news, you might have heard of two female Kpop idols who died recently. Both went through a recurring hate and criticism online.

That song that was played at the end of the video is called “2!3!” and it’s a really touching song because it was BTS' promise to the ARMYs. BTS had written/produced that song dedicated for the ARMYs as the first official fan song. Before that song was released on 2016 there was a long period of time when BTS and ARMYs were receiving so much hardships and hate from other people. ARMYs kept on counter attacking those hates while BTS are defending the ARMYs. The amount of hate that BTS are receiving compared to other groups are ridiculous. Up until now, the question "what has BTS done to deserve all those hates?" still lingers on us. They've always been very humble, down to earth and respectful towards others. It's so unfair why people have to hate them and try to ruin their career. It was so hard at that time, then the song came out on OCTOBER 10, 2016 (track #14) and it made us all cry. BTS knew that as they went through every hardships along their journey, the ARMYs are going through the same and yet the ARMYs still believe in them and fight for them no matter what. It's like BTS is telling us that it sucks that we really can't walk on a perfect path without struggles and without receiving hates from other people but still everything will be okay as long as we are together walking at the same path and never stop believing in each other. I remember, after that BTS went live and they said that no matter what happens, we have to protect each other always. They usually perform that song at the encore part of their concerts, they let the fans sing with them and as the music ends the fans continue to sing without the music and that's one of the most beautiful parts of their concerts. BTS had already released a bunch of fan songs for the ARMY (like Magic Shop, Pied Piper, Love Myself, etc.) but "2!3!" will always be that song that holds a special place in our hearts that no other song can replace.💜 And yes, BTS/BIGHIT/ARMY is a family. All this hate was also coordinated very well by the kpop industry. For eg BTS already were selling more than some big company groups back in 2015 but NONE of this never showed up on media. They tried so hard to sweep BTS under the rug for so long. Evn in 2016 BTS were not alloted waiting rooms in shows and used to practice their performances in bathrooms. BTS would get on the stage in big shows and they would cut them off unexpectedly from lineups. If i remember this happened in sbs festival. But BTS performed for the fans present there, the stage uncleaned and without lights. The hate they recieved was unnatural. But that only propelled us forward evn more. Armys had this sheer determination to make them heard by ppl.

Oh for sure. Especially May 2016. Hate and accusations always kept popping up in forums, and armys who tried to defend got jumped. I have no doubt that there are still a lot of these company agents, in all types of disguises. Not just rival fans, but akgaes/solo stans, managermys, etc. We're always being watched and targeted.

It's one thing not to like a person's music but it's insane to tear someone and everything about them apart because of it. It's something we normally don't see in American music but sadly it's the norm for kpop groups and it's disgusting. I dearly wish that I had known the boys from the start but because of the unconditional love of ARMY they were able to push through without giving up. They were all so damn young and the incredible emotional toll that must have had on them could have broken them yet they're able to continue to offer their love to whoever needs it. Those boys inspire me to be a better person and that's just one reason I adore them.

The sad thing is that this only a small fraction of the hate they receive. Through 2018 and 2019 we have seen some of the worst hatred towards them yet. ARMY is so protective and aggressive about protecting them for a reason. When BTS shares their hardships and struggles, kpop stans always turn it into a meme and make it viral while mocking them. From ridiculing Taehyung about his passed grandma to joking about how Suga is one song away from killing himself to Jimin is one voice crack away from starving himself to death(he used to struggle with body image and they use it to mock him) to mocking Jin after he shared about how they thought about disbandment last year bc of the pressures on them to accusing them of manipulating mental health to trick depressed people into buying their music because of their Love Yourself albums(BTS writes about their own personal struggles in the hopes it will bring comfort to themselves and us but people accuse them of manipulation for doing it...) Hate tags are trended about them often and this year some kpop stans even decided to trend a hate tag for Jimin on his birthday... they get so much underserved hatred that goes beyond simple jealousy. most people just see our fandom and think we are crazy, obsessive and toxic but what they don't seem to see is the unnatural amounts of hatred and malice BTS receives that makes us this protective. we are so loud with our love towards them bc we want to cover all the hate. In the hopes they won't see it. (even though we know they do)

At the end of the day, BTS only has ARMY to protect them. Basically no other fandom will step in and help us out, or at least show a little respect. I guess that’s why our bond is so strong. We mutually help each other, they give us amazing music with great messages, and we become shooters for them and work the hardest out of all existing fandoms to make them the best. People think we are obsessed and delusional but most of us ARMYs are adults and we see how special they are. They are the band the world needed. We love them so much that’s why I literally save up in everything but BTS. They deserve everything they have and more.

These experiences are the reasons why armys are very defensive over bts and tend to not mix with other fandoms bc they're the main cause of bts' struggle, even to this day, other fandoms literally attacked us yesterday because an army said she likes bts' vocal line and armys hype up bts 💀 jealousy is a very ugly thing and other fandoms don't handle anything well. the slightest praise bts receives immediately triggers them. their focus on bts is what makes their groups flop or disban, they're not only hurting bts and armys with their insecurities but their own artists as well. tho I don't mind if exo falls, one of their members was the ones who threw shade at bts because their company couldn't buy awards anymore without looking suspicious. and the others are just as bad, if not worse.

Yes they have been through some shit. And myself being a older Army, I get into my “mom” mode and want to go kick someone a$$ for hurting my boys. But they prevailed all by themselves with Army right beside them. At their Wings concert I remember RM telling us All, “We will never walk alone” And I cried like a baby at the end. And Army was singing and humming and it was the most beautiful moment I have ever experienced! Because I knew that every single Army at that concert felt the very same way as I did! So if any haters out there still feel the same way, get over it because all Us Army knows what is up and you will have to get through us first!!! I know why you thought you have seen this video before. Right at the beginning in almost everyone of their “hardship” video’s pretty much start with those idiots telling BTS they are girls for wearing makeup. (To them, no amount of makeup could hide how ugly your heart it) The one thing that use to piss me off the most was everyone saying all that stuff about J-hope! Yes everyone of the members is damn good looking. But since day one, I have thought that J-hope was a complete package for BTS! If one member was not in BTS, then we would not have Our BTS today! Each member is so damn handsome, can dance and sing like there is no tomorrow, and is more HUMBLE then anyone that I have ever seen or known in my whole life. Sorry for the book. I can go on forever about BTS and I am sure that there are things I still don’t know! All I know is these 7 young men have touched Millions of hearts and have saved many of us! And that includes me. How 7 young men, showed me it is ok to hurt but to Love yourselves more for it. And that my life is worrying living and fighting for and to never give up hope! Thank You BTS and Army! Those things are true, I was there when all that happened. Looks like a fiction and horror movie, but is not. It’s amazing how others hate the boys since day 1. I discovered them in 2014 and I’m glad I did. I supported them and I’m proud of that; and being here (2019) is even better. This isn’t not over and I’m not over about BTS, is the beginning and I’m gonna give them EVERYTHING THEY DESERVE People don’t understand how hard we worked for this... but I’m glad we have each other’s back, BTS AND ARMY FOREVER 💜

I think one thing that is missed in these, is that 100's of groups debut in a year. I'm sure a lot of people don't watch the music program in their entirety, meaning they watch the ends only because that's when the senior artists or popular artists perform. But there are so many that do get cut out of the shows, unfortunately during BTS time, they were one of them.

What breaks my heart is when the worse of this was going down, they were KIDS. It's amazing they survived. But the price was high. The mental toll and stress affected each and every one of them. I think one of the reasons they are still so hard on themselves now is because they don't EVER want to be made to feel the way they felt then. Now that I'm ARMY, I protect them as fiercely as I protect the two that I birthed. 💜💜💜💜💜

This is why Army are so protective with Bangtan. 💜 we are here for them, not for others. Antis and some kpopers always say that we are the most toxic fandom, but we have had to suffer that kind of shit since the beginning (me since 2014) and all we have done is protect BTS and not help their favs, that is why we are so hated.
