To me it´s like a riddle that has to be solved, because when you approach a real oracle, the story often has to be told in metaphors. Here it is the metaphor of innocent clowns, and a kind of gentle satire about the idea of the boy band - the suits with shorts, war of hormone, the school thing, Danger, FIre. etc... They are dead serious about what they are doing, but you have to realize the joke so that you will look at a deeper level. Not you, one. The ironic level is essential to telling the tale, because our brain-hearts would explode without it. And irony is a lesson in itself. thanks Mind Hunter, I purple you.

Absolutely!! I can't stand when they are called a boy band....I only heard the boy band term when BTS crossed over to the states. America has a habit of pushing grown men groups towards young girls which is odd. BTS has fans from young to elderly and male and female and non binary. If BTS were teens I'd understand the boy band term but the states push them in a for teens boy band catagory ... so weird. I feel they need to be given more respect than that. They are grown men talking about grown and worldwide topics!

Being a person who couldn't pursue my dreams due to personal circumstances, this quickly became one of my favorite songs from Suga.... you should check out "Tomorrow", "First Love"(his love for piano), and "The Last" ....all the lyrics are sooooo deep

I admit I prefer the ver with Suran and have only listened to this one a handful of times before but I can really appreciate this version now that I’ve had a refresh. I love how both versions are noticeably arranged differently, not just different vocalist that sing with a different tone, but things like this version featuring the piano and referencing First Love. I love the sound of the ticking clock that this song ends with, like in matter of time you will find what you are searching for or the rush to find something you are searching for, while in the other version it begins with those satellite beeps. Those simple sounds set the vibe that you are slipping away and alone....ah! Simply an awesome song! And of course all three vocalist and suga are amazing!!

Since you liked this, you should definitely check out “The Last” it’s so so deep and emotional and gets me in my feelings every time. Also “First Love” is lyrically amazing and so beautiful and “The most beautiful moment in life” is so freaking intricate from the lyrics to the beats and sounds/sound effects. Suga is my bias because he just lays his heart out there and shows his vulnerability but he does it so artistically on top of that. Ugh I love him!

I'm so glad you finally reacted to So Far Away as it is such a great song! I don't know if you already plan to listen to this but.. There are also Suga(Agust D)'s songs: First Love, The Last. These are songs that will really let you in on what kind of person he is, as these are very meaningful and personal songs. Make sure you pay attention to the lyrics! Also if you can find the live of First Love. Please watch it! He is such a passionate rapper! Also Jhope's song Mama is so amazing! It's him showing his thanks and appreciation for his mom. The live is amazing so look at the lyric video and the live! Jhope can sing too, and this is when it really shows. He takes ya to church in that live performance 👍👍👍

Finally! So Far Away is my all-time favorite BTS song, and I've been Army since mid-2014. It was stunning and emotional to hear/see Suga in concert singing "First Love" about his piano and how he almost gave it up completely, but when he, Jin and Jungkook performed it in concert and JK came in at the end with "First Love", I burst into tears and cried all the way through several re-listens. THIS is the song that inspired me to paint again. THIS is the song I play on my iPhone when flying. This song contains everything important to me...and, I think to all of us. This song is part of his AGUST D mixtape. I hope you could react to it sometime. If J-Hope’s mixtape made you feel happy and made you want to dance, Suga’s mixtape is more melancholic. Honesty this song lyrics makes me think about dark times in my life I would rather forget. It describes person who has depression with suicide tendences psyche too real. Yoongi was through a lot for sure. You can't write lyrics like this if you wasn't at that point.

Yoongi´s lyrics always hit me different the way he makes his song the way he words it with his rap and how he does it I love it and adding JK and Jin. Now JK is my favourite vocal but Jin did well too here

As others have said this is Suga's song off his mixtape, the original version he did with fellow songwriter and friend- Suran(she has a lovely voice and she's worked with Suga before. He's produced and written songs for her before.) But this is the version he recorded with Jin and JK. Which Suga used these two because he felt their voices fit the song better. Just like he asked Jimin to perform Tony Montana because he felt Jimin's voice fit that song(He had also been wanting to do a song with Jimin) Suga is known for his lyrics that touch on mental health. Yoongi/Suga has depression and Social anxiety, with the latter being the one that is a constant battle.(As someone with social anxiety it isn't something you just get rid of, it stays with you and you just have to find ways of dealing with it.) He has always been open about these things and does his best to make music that helps others with these issues and more. There was a time back in the beginning when the social anxiety hit him hard- he actually left the stage a few times during their very first tour, and they had to start a song late because he was having difficulties. He's gotten better(when I say better I mean he's found things/ways to help himself. It's possible he's also taking medicine or using CBD oil since it's legal to use medically in SK, to help but I don't like to assume.) His older songs actually drew me in when my cousin showed me them pre-debut. The one I liked most was from 2011 called All I do is Win(I think that's the name of it.) He had a lot of short raps/songs he released. Some are hard to find. As always I loved the reaction and can't wait for more. 💜

Suga suffered from anxiety and depression and part of it was his parents being extremely against this career path, which is why this song hits on so many levels. This particular version of So Far Away was free and a gift on BTS’s birthday, haha Suga really has his hand on the pulse, as many people were wanting to hear the sub-unit of YoonJinKook and he cleverly includes the instrumentals of Awake, which is Jin’s solo from Wings, JK’s solo Begin and Suga’s own First Love was incorporated via the lyrics. It’s also notable that when he says the lines starting with Dream, he’s using fomal almost religious word choices in Korean, he’s really blessing us 😆 I think you should check out the original So Far Away as well, it’s ft an artist called Suran and has a different vibe to it due to the music choices made.

GM, Army Check In Fam! Suga suffers with depression so he talks honestly about it in songs. That's what drew alot of Army to BTS. Suicide is very high in S Korea with young people there. Several idols have committed suicide because of negativity and bullying. You never know what someone is going thru deep inside, especially when they won't admit a problem. So happy. Been wanting this one forever. Suga's second best song behind "The Last". "The Last" is lyrically challenging rap and must be seen as two stanzas to truly understand it. The first is a shocking autobiography of Suga's "weak self", including a reference softly in Korean to thinking about suicide multiple times (American translations for some reason leave a blank screen as he says this). The second stanza changes flow and delivers the song's meaning with aggression and triumphant delivery. It is a street cred call to youth who are devoid of dreams and might see suicide as the escape from inner turmoil to see how it is possible to rise from the bottom. Much like "So Far Away", it is Suga messaging youth to dream even if it seems improbable. I do understand that Suga ultimately in his desire to help youth has said happiness is even more important than dreams, but what is important here is that he has taken BTS messaging which can be seen in "No More Dream", "N.O.", "Dope", "Fire", "Not Today", and even "So What" and he uses his personal story to make it stick in the minds of those who need it.

The timing couldn't have been more perfect. On this day (07.11.) 9 years ago Yoongi left his hometown of Daegu to pursue his dream of becoming a successful musician in Seoul. So far away, written and produced by Yoongi himself, is reminiscent of the time when no one believed in his dream, not even his own parents. They were strongly opposed to his career in music and envisioned him going to university and finding a stable government job. He was broke, scammed out of his beats by other rappers, and without any emotional support, but his determination and talent won him 2nd place in the BigHit audition that changed everything... And look at him now, his dream is in full bloom. :) I can't put into words how much this song means to me. It has given me hope and reassurance in the darkest of times. I deeply admire Yoongi's lyrical skill, his raw emotion, his flawless rap... But most of all i admire the fact that he chooses to make music that comforts others and gives them strenght to keep pushing forward despite the pain and hardship.

Suga has a solo song called First Love from 2017's You Never Walk Alone. I personally feel this song really helped me see the real Yoongi and his journey to decide to do the music he loves despite how hard a life it could be. I recommend it. He does a great live version, too.

This song was originally from Yoongi’s mixtape “Agust D” and the original version was featuring a singer named Suran, who is an amazing artist with a very unique voice (I really love her song “1+1=0” and she also has a song called “Wine” that Yoongi actually produced). Another thing to note is that I believe Jungkook was referencing Yoongi’s solo song from BTS’ “Wings” album called “First Love”, at the end. “First Love” is about Yoongi’s first love being the piano and music and is one of my personal favorite songs because I myself am a musician. Highly recommend the song if you haven’t already heard it, or even if you have.

As RM once said, Big Hit's CEO, Bang Si Hyuk, encouraged them since day one to write about their own story, their own thoughts, feelings & frustrations. And Suga (Yoongi) has been doing it even before he became part of BTS. He was once diagnosed with depression and had social anxiety to the point of hiding in the bathroom and being unable to perform. you can find these stories of his earlier struggles in his Agust D mixtape and So Far Away is just one of those tracks that bares his heart & soul. (He wrote, composed & produced it btw). I bawled my eyes out the first time I listened to this song as I can relate to the words spoken by Suga. His lyrics are so real, and it makes me feel I'm not alone. I guess this is one of the reasons, why we relate to BTS the most. They're the realest people out there. This song has inspired a lot of Armys going through the same thing, to try and face one more day. That we can still hope for a better day despite what we're going through. This song just gives me goosebumps every damn time, and as much as I love Jin and Kookie's vocals on this song Suga just steals your soul. The part where he raps starting with Dream OMFG my hair stands on end. You just know that he has felt all he is talking about and what he is trying to convey back to the listener. Suga’s (Min Yoongi’s) parents didn’t support his music dream initially. They even went as far as to throw away all the lyrics he had written. They wanted him to just focus on school and get good grades to be successful. He went through and depression and anxiety. Eventually his parents came around and now support him and his career. He has been very open with the emotions, thoughts, and feelings with his music.
