Lots of things to be done can be overwhelming - the old saying is you reach the goal one step at a time. I wish you a happy and prosperous 2023.

Happy New Year 2023. I´m sure that your Super Duty is finished before 2024 👍

Aileron. Follow the crux to the apex - center tap with punch three light taps. With sterling silver tablespoon or soup spoon making rapid high frequency tapping motion into dish area several minutes until the metal thickens again; it'll firm up. Scuff with scotch Brite then Finish with 3m feather flex - block sand and top with Sherwin Williams sealing primer or equivalent.

Before you drill out all those rivets, maybe try an inexpensive dent puller- the type you temp glue a pull rod / with pull weight. Nothing to loose but a few dollars for the puller and use many more times as you acquire more dents 😆 happy new year

What about a couple of small, portable infrared heaters for the gluing? One in the cabin and one overhead. Adjust for proper temperature, glue the window in and hold the temp until the glue is fully cured. Avoiding direct radiation of the uncured glue, of course.

at 11:30 can you do a demonstration how to repair the wing skin - say for DIY folks that are on a budget and you are not able to afford to replace the entire skin or if we buy a used plane and it needs these dings to be repaired.

Thanks for the video. Happy New Year! Regarding the dent, maybe check into PRD. Paintless dent repair. The guys that are skilled at it may be able to fix that.

Yep.. Use a heat gun to get a little heat in the aluminum and you should be able to shape it from the backside. The guys who do it for a living can do it a lot quicker!

Mark, like you I am a bit type "A". Why not just Bondo the dent instead of removing the whole skin? But hopefully the trim tab will right on that spot.

I enjoy your videos . Have you checked out the inflatable paint booths they look to be a convent for limited space.

Yes but there’s no room in the hangar to leave it up. And if I can’t leave it up, I can just my curtains that I used for the booth for my Cruzer.

Have you ordered an engine yet? Lycoming has about a year lead time for an engine right now. I already got my engine, a Lycoming YO-360, from Zentih when I ordered my kit.

Hey man I have a question. When you drill out rivets that are into tubing, does part of the rivet fall into the tubing and stay there?
@KitplaneEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
If both ends of the tube are sealed and there’s no other way to get them out, then yes they will live inside the tube forever.

Do you use a spreadsheet or a checklist for all of the projects that have to be completed?
@KitplaneEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
No, but sometimes I do make a list on a white board in order to prioritize some tasks. It's all in my head! I know every single thing that still needs done on this airplane.
