Thermostat Replacement On a Mercedes Sprinter

Thank you for this. My friend is stuck on Highway 80 going over the summit of Donner Pass. Over heated. Pulling a trailer. We diagnosed the thermostat is the problem, now he knows just how easy this job is. I already knew it but it's always good to check you tube for somebody who has actually done it on your vehicle type. Next is my Sequoia fuel pump! (And relay)...

@wsnxumalo6707 the engive will start overheating sometimes and you can graph the engine temperature data pid to figure that out

Hola! Porque se daña el termostato? Tengo una Sprinter 2023 con 45.000 millas, porque se dañó tan rapido? Las fallas eran pas siguientes: Se enncendio en el tablero el icono del motor, el motor no recolucionaba mas de 3.000 revoluciones por minuto y el turno no accionaba. Do you ever replace just the thermostat, not the housing too?

Ted Pirsig yes you can do that too but make sure you also replace the gasket, in my case the housing was cheaper!
