Did it yesterday. Never attempted this level of repair maintenance prior, but with all the tutorials available on the internet it was a non-event, except for the brittle & warped connectors! Thanks for y’all’s help!!!

These 2 videos were awesome and helped me through the process! I watched others and thought this was going to be too big of a job to do. Took me most of the day, but worth it not to payout over $1500 to have it done elsewhere. Only other advice I’d give is that I used a large syringe and tube to suck out the gunk in the valley after removing the oil filter housing then wipe everything down. Thank you again!

Great video! Getting ready to do this on my 2011 Town & Country. My failure of the part showed up as a coolant leak from there. Only one thing I can see you missed was bleeding the air out of the cooling system at the thermostat housing after you added the coolant. I did enjoy the attention to detail of your video and explanations as you went along the process. Thanks!

Fantastic follow up to pay one. I only have one critique, when you are torquing the boys it looks like you are over tightening them when you double check the torque. There should be no turning after the click. It likely won't be an issue in this instance, but could come back to bite you one day. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing!

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair So when I was torquing down the upper intake manifold bolts, the lower intake manifold cracked. I couldn't figure out what happened until I went to install the old upper intake manifold on the new lower intake manifold. I forgot to put the studs on the upper intake manifold in the brackets that are hiding under the upper radiator hose. The studs were sitting on top of the brackets, which had the upper intake manifold misaligned, causing the lower intake manifold to break. Hopefully my $300 mistake helps someone else.

I have a 2016 town and country. I was leaking oil. Repair shop said the oil cooler was most likely cracked. They said it was a common flaw with this type of engine. Is this true of the oil cooler housing cracking? About 3 months later I had to hard accelerate to avoid an accident. Then I found oil spots were I park. I'm thinking the vibration of the engine from the hard acceleration is causing the oil to leak from the O-rings. No more leaks from regular driving now. What are your thoughts.
@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair3 ай бұрын
@Mr.XYZ6775 it's usually the O-rings that leak
