This video was filmed in the banquet hall/barn dance my family owned. :) It has since been sold and largely renovated. I remember them filming when I was 6 or 7 years old. I didn't realize this video won an award!

Truly, the Family Brown were 'Pioneers' of the Canadian Country Music Scene....I so miss their true country sound and the joy they brought wherever they performed! Miss drinking coffee with Papa Joe backstage at 'Big Country' Music weeks in Ottawa so many years ago!!! Bless you all!

Tracy Prescott. That's how I'd reconize the Family Brown on the radio. I say she has one of best vocals that I've heard throughout the years.

SOLVED! The names I was wondering about are confirmed, so editing my comment to update the song lyrics. Pioneers - The Family Brown [VERSE 1] Tommy sang about a travelling man Orval’s voice brought him command Lucille sang of the sun’s hello Wilf rode that old Strawberry Roan Well they rode the rails and they rode the range They rode high on the winds of change Carved a place and they made their fame And the hall of honour bares their name [CHORUS] Pioneers, pioneers… They’re the legends, of yesteryear They blazed a trail, to a new frontier And we’ll remember, the pioneers [VERSE 2] Harold and Jack built an industry Don’s Islander’s left a legacy Like Papa Joe , some are gone But their tradition still lives on So when folks worry about country’s roots And where the new generation’s heading to I play the Singing Ranger’s song You know that one about moving on [CHORUS] Pioneers, pioneers… They’re the legends of yesteryear They blazed a trail to a new frontier And we’ll remember, the pioneers Pioneers… They’re the legends of yesteryear They blazed a trail to a new frontier And we’ll remember, the pioneers Pioneers… They’re the legends of yesteryear They blazed the trail to a new frontier And we’ll remember, the pioneereeeeeeeeeeers Yes, we’ll remember, the pioneers === Canadian Music Legends Referenced: - Tommy Hunter - Orval Prophet - Lucille Starr - Wilf Carter - William “Harold” Moon & Jack Feeney - Don Messer and His Islanders - Papa Joe Brown - Hank Snow

I remember that as well and we went to one of their tapings.. I have been looking for Lovin Fool which was a very popular song back then. I have a autographed copy on a 45 of it and I don't like to play it as it is a keepsake. If anyone knows anyone that have this song on you tube it would be greatly appreciated

Hey, David. I'm here in Leamington, On, Canada, and back in '98, when Tracy Brown was promoting her solo album "Woman's Work", we enjoyed a conversation along with her husband Randall, {who is seen in this video} and their guitarist Jon Park-Wheeler, at the radio station I was working at. You're right...they are very good, and very friendly. Take care, sir.
