After seeing what happened to KITT in the beginning of the episode of ‘Junkyard Dog’, KITT definitely deserved dishing out that payback! I remember watching it as a kid and I was so ticked off seeing what happened to KITT and was glad to see him make his destructors get their just desserts! The most tender part of the episode was when Michael sensed that KITT had lost his nerve. And to encourage KITT, he told about what happened before he became Michael Knight and was almost killed in the desert. Michael explained how many times after he had regained consciousness that he could still see the muzzle flash in his face. How he became frightened and would flinch if someone lit a match or he saw car lights flash because it reminded him of the flash from the gun that almost killed him. When KITT asked him how he got over it, Michael told him that he didn’t... It overcame itself. All He did was just refuse to give in to it and do what he knew needed to be done.
