Absolutely loved this movie. One of the best Racing movie to hit the screen. Top 3 in my books and theres a few that it could switch with 1st imo. Loved the era of cars, the production, sounds, visuals.

Tony Scott reused his Top Gun formula for this movie. The resemblances to Top Gun are strong, so much Top Gun vibes.

Saw it in the theatre. I can still feel the vibration from all the engine and exhaust noise. It was that loud in the theatre. (my girlfriend at the time actually got sick after the movie) It was glorious.

I heard that if the producers wanted to portray NASCAR, the race cars had to go through the same process the real NASCAR drivers. So, every race they filmed, the cars had to the same qualification procedures as the real NASCAR drivers to be in the races.
