Knight Rider 2: The Game is a video game developed by Davilex Games based on the original television series of the same name. This game supports Aureal A3D HRTF technology.
The game was released in Europe on PlayStation 2 and PC on November 22, 2002 and in North America on the PC on February 12, 2003. The game allows the player to take control of KITT - the Knight Industries Two Thousand, in a range of missions including, racing, exploring, chasing and others. The player will also meet famous villains from the original series, including KARR and Garthe Knight.

KR2 is wayyyy more fun than the first and davilex really nailed playing as a grounded futuristic car. You do lots of cool stuff in second game like dodging missiles, solving tech puzzles, combat robots, combat helicopters, rescue Michael, and much more. Whereas in the first game best you do is race. Davilex really went all and expanded upon making it an enjoyable experience rather than just following the TV series and it was worth it. Every game should do that. I don't know reviews and all existed back then. But after growing up to get the reviews and ratings, never really understood the hate towards second game. It was not perfect but really really fun. Will always be my favourite and still a blast to play.

While KITT doesn't sound like William Daniels in either of these two games, I'd say KITT's voice actor in this first game sounded closer to Daniels than the voice actor in the second game. Cuz in this first game, KITT sounds American as he does in the series. Whereas KITT's voice actor in the second game made him sound more British, which was a bit weird. And I'd say KARR's voice actor in this first game sounded closer to both Peter Cullen and Paul Frees (I'd say mostly Frees) than the voice actor in the second game.

It looks like the second game was designed for PS2 and then ported to PC as an after thought, the first game had better graphics. But the missions in Knight Rider 2 are far more exciting.

The graphics are very season 3/4. I like how they copied some of the storyline from Trust Doesn't Rust and Karr kidnapping Bonnie. It shows Davilex watched a few episodes in preperation to make this game with Karr and Garthe. Too bad they got it all wrong in the second game with lasers, plasma cannons, and missiles from the trunk. The dashboard should have had way more meters like the series did.

Thank you so much for watching. I wish this game had more chase combat missions rather than just driving around and jumping over buildings. Also some missions cud have had a change in scenery. The whole game uses just one desert scene. I haven't tried the second game yet. I hear its worse than the first. I plan on uploading it as soon as I finish this one.

@@raptorsretrogames 2nd game is fun as long as you throw anything ever remember watching from the TV show Knight rider out the window. I mean they armed kit with lasers missiles and plasma rifles last to my check he barely had a laser in a very few episodes. They have him fighting Johnny 5s and airwolf. Not as much fun as the 1st game. The 1st really embodied the series more however anytime you get to fight karr and Garthe is a good knight rider game.

Woah look at that break neck 124 MPH speed. Grandma's Buick could probably smoke both K.I.T.T. and K.A.R.R. in this game. Davilex got this horribly wrong, the game is hot garbage. Should have gone to a proper studio with a proper budget.

I guess the game map was too small so they reduced KITT's speed.

@@Longlostpuss Yeah.. that's true. BTW do you know KITT's max speed (without super pursuit mode) in the TV series?

@@raptorsretrogames Yeah I've had countless arguments with people over this. K.I.T.T.'s max speed with and without Super Pursuit Mode was exactly the same, at 300 MPH. K.I.T.T.'s engine basically had a limiter on it unless Michael asked for "everything you got", so for the most part he'd never do more than about 160-180 MPH unless they were out of urban areas, as it was not safe or practical to be driving any faster. SPM fully unlocked K.I.T.T's engine and made it possible to drive over these speeds safely (apparently) due to the new breaking system and the altered configuration giving K.I.T.T.'s frame multiple air filters to give the car more stability at these speeds. Super Pursuit Mode only got him to 300 MPH 40% faster than without. Basically better horses, better torque, better handling all making K.I.T.T faster, but he still tops out at 300 MPH. You'll be amazed at how many people don't get how dynamic the concept of speed is, they immediately think more speed has to mean 300 MPH + 40%. I just counter that with show me one SPM episode where the Speedometer went over 300 MPH. Sound of crickets....

i disagree.... no one wanted to touch this so without davilex this game wouldn't even exist.... after the cancellation of the show none of the media cared about it only the fans...
