Our hearts are broken that these kittens were in this situation. We're happy someone stopped to help and that we were able to take them in and give them a second chance.

@@KlinxKreations there is NEVER a situation where abandoning an animal is okay. If you’re moving you either take the pet with you or you bring them to a shelter. When you get a pet it is your responsibility to care for them.

I have 6 rescues, and 4 out of my 6 were throw-aways that were either headed to a shelter or abandoned (my other 2 were shelter kittens). I’ve made it a habit to check any boxes out of place bc even in rural areas where I live this happens…… sadly….. 4 of my 6 cats are rescues that I’ve found abandoned!!!! One of them was this past winter….. a barely weaned kitty I’ve named Bella…… she was soooooo cold and so tiny and hungry…… when we saved her she was purring bc she was so happy we got her and shivering at the same time…… I never regret helping animals!!!!

If anyone finds animals like this, don't feed them a meal immediately. As tempting as it is, they didn't look to be in a good condition so you have no idea how long it's been since they ate. Their stomach could reject the food and make them puke, especially if they eat fast, or they could be too dehydrated to eat. Instead, give them access to water to hydrate them, monitor them, and call a vet and ask "how can I make sure they can eat safely without it upsetting their stomach?"

Reminds me of how someone 6 month old kitten got kicked out from his owner car, castrated; as well as the owner after kicking the cat..kept driving and never came back for the kitten. The kitten followed my neighbors (A) and he ended up after a week being adopted by my family. He invaded my family house from Day 1 and never wanted to go to someone else house. I fell for the kitten from Day 1!!! And I wanted to raise him with love and care. But when giving him his freedom to let him explore the outside world he always ended up being taken as a toy for a kid from another neighbor (B). They never fed him nor gave him a litter box as well as when it was around 5 pm, they would kick the cat. The cat always came inside the house in a rush eating like he was starving and using his litter box very urgently. I was devastated, annoyed, angry and asked if they were going to raise the cat or not, it was during the morning when I asked that. At that time there was only the kid and her grandma. Imagine how the kid told me that it was her kitten (when the grandma was there, agreeing to the kid.) I told them ok and to buy him food and litter box and more stuff that were needed for a cat and left. At 5 pm the cat tried to enter my family house and at that moment I went outside, took the cat, and went in front of the neighbor B house. And asked the parents of the kid if they were going to raise him, and I wanted a short answer which were, yes or no. They replied with no. And I told them that their kid with her grandma told me that they were going to raise the kitten. The kid felt humiliated btw. And the parents told me that in the morning it was theirs and during the night it was mine. I smiled and left with the kitten and never let him go outside unless I was with him. The grandma told me to let her granddaughter play with the kitten which was mine and I smiled 😃 and said no. She also demanded to use my mom garden and i said, no and never, is my mom property and not hers so she should stop being greedy and shamelessly asking for things that aren't hers. Btw just to clarity the kitten is legally adopted by me. He has a microchip for traveling purposes. He is now happy, healthy and very friendly. The first time I thought the kitten was a female but after discovering that it was a male and the fact he was castrated, I cried in front of the vet. The previous owner was horrible and didn't take the responsibility for castrating him..

I used to live in the mountains- there was a single civilian road running alongside a river, and people would drive up, miles into the cascades, to drop boxes of kittens off the side of the road. I only ever saw one box at the single store that was 7 miles up the road, but my best friend's mom was always finding boxes further up. They lived at the 18.2 mile mark, right before the road is blocked from public access. Everything further up or off the road was either public property or protected land that was generally illegal to tresspass on. So I guess monsters would go as far as they could and drop the poor things off as cougar/coyote/fox food. Her mom was always on the look out for them, and saved probably dozens. She personally adopted 10, took the rest to the human society and the 'Crazy Cat Lady' down town-when the shelter would refuse them due to overcapacity. The cat lady was a professional and licensed cat foster+retired veterinarian. Twice I'd seen puppies that'd been abandoned - both times someone had found them lower down the road and was handing them off at the store to anyone who would take then. And I'd heard many stories of puppies being chucked into the river. Since my county made it illegal to not fix cats and dogs, without a breeding liscense or medical reason, and my local humane society was taken over by a massive charity organization that started a Spay-ghetti And Meatballs campaign to help parents fix them for free, incedents of that have virtually stopped. Like, you can't even find free kittens/puppies on craigslist anymore lol, they get snatched up immediately. Our shelter has greatly expanded capacity, but they barely needed to- there is such short supply of pets that they're flipped like pancakes. I stood outside the door to adopt my dog 2 hours before the place opened and he was first allowed to be adopted. I beat out another person who was there for him but waited in his car for the doors to open- so I got in first. I had been trying for weeks to get a dog from them (that was under 30lbs), but was always preempted by someone else.

Some orphan kittens in my town were found in a trash bag with her 4 siblings, at just 3-4 days old. A woman took care of them all for a month and now they all found beautiful homes!! One of them got adopted by us, and now she's a strong, healthy and playful little girl :)
