I just love the way they all looked at Dexter “what’s your problem?”, and didn’t move, and often just ignored him. Ada is one tough little girl! Dexter’s coloring is gorgeous. I’m surprised Freya didn’t step in and set the boundaries. I remember when she put (I think Dexter, maybe Orion or Sirius) in their place when they were on the shelves on the wall. Those little ones are all so adorable.

Wow has Dexter grown!! As I shared in survey regarding his name..his name needs to be Dex. Actually he looks like a Dex!!😊. Uncle needs to be saved for the patriarch, Buster.. I felt a bit nervous thru video..Dexter is so large and noisy and the kittens small..but I was so proud of the kittens..Isaac seemed be the only one that hid and it was Galileo 'The Brave' who was steadfast..end at end was adorable when he and Dex were on the bed together..Ada though was the 1st to say hello..the hostess with the mostest..And Leonardo did so well for the little guy.. you can see I had a lot of feelings about video, but thank you for sharing..you have a wonderful kitty fam..I was thrilled to see Freya come in

Dexter is huge!!! That tail is stunning. He’s only nine months and they grow till five years of age? Holy Moly. He could be bigger than Buster. Wow! He’s a bit on the grumpy side but it won’t last long! Is the growl anger? Warning? Unhappy? Scared? All of the above? My Lucie growled at my Bella, her half sister. They did not like each other. Lost Lucie in November at 14 years. Bella is a completely different cat now. More affectionate, clingy. She is relaxed knowing she doesn’t have craws and teeth coming at her. The kittens are not bothered by Dexter’s growls and hisses. That’s good. I think for the first visit, it went really well! ❤

Dexter was certainly vocalizing his displeasure, but he wasn’t looking like he’d take action. Owners were petting him and he wasn’t reacting negatively to that, plus Freya was giving him a “you behave now” look but wasn’t going into protective mode.

People seem to thing Dexter is "grumpy" or "mean." Not really. Cats are usually solitary, but when there is lots of food, cats will form colonies. And in colonies there's a very strict pecking order. This is very normal behavior to let the other kitties know that he is alpha. This gets him first eats, etc. At least in the wild. Domestically, it's not really a big deal of course, since everyone gets fed. But that's all that's really going on. As long as kittens do a submissive back-down, he'll be fine.

Wow, Shere Khan has entered the forest and he commands respect from all who live there. Little Ada was so innocently curious and welcoming in the beginning- kind sir, may I have your name? Oops! Never mind! Galileo was so mellow. Dexter is looking so lush. That move he made when he raised his paw and flexed his claws was very powerful. What a baby lion. Luckily big cat dad soothed him in the moment. What a handsome boy. It was so nice to have closeups of all the kittens. They all seemed a bit stunned at the end but I’m sure after a nice nap and meal they were fine. Thanks for sharing!❤

Many thanks for another very entertaining episode. Dexter's been growing, I'm sure, and he's magnificent. And he's still a teenager really, so he was suitably grumpy too. You can see that Dexter is cautious, but also curious. All that growling and hissing doesn't come from a place of anger or hatred, but the anxiety of meeting new cats. He's just establishing boundaries. "I'm bigger than you. This is my house and you're living in it. Capiche?"

Hi..this is 8/17/24..I was cruising thru your pass videos Dad and found this one of Dexter being introduced to Freya's little ones.. he was grumpy, growling and hissing as his behavior is now interacting with Ash, Misty, and Brock.. looks like Dexter just doesn't like kittens in general..though with Ada being older..8 mos?..-Dexterr seems to be ok..I think I with fans we compare Dexter's personality to Buster's..they definitely are different.. Buster more assured than Dexter possibly? Dad ..is this true.. as usual..thank you for sharing your wonderful cat family..ps..there was a comment in current video they saw your reflection..and they were said you were younger than they thought and wondered if you are single😂 it would be fun to see 'selfy' with you and your cat family, but I also do understand why you don't 😊 have a great day..Martha
