This is the first single off their upcoming record ‘Fire’ called “Eyes Wide Open”, and it’s quite a different feel than this. It’s more of a groovy melodic thrash metal vibe, all screams, with Mercedes adding her low death metal growls to the chorus, making the perfect combo. Each song they’ve released off the new album has been diverse from one another, & each has such a unique sound. Their great at bangers, whether it’s heavy metal with screaming vocals or just cleans, or songs with both. This album consist of more heavy songs than not, but has something for everyone. When they first started they were pretty heavy. This is a little mellower for them, however they are older so things change. It’s still good. The drummer and the lead singer are sisters.

This is simply a ‘softer’ song of theirs. As you can tell with “Eyes Wide Open”- a groovy melodic thrash metal song that’s all screaming and features Mercedes’ death metal growls during the chorus. “Vultures”- Starts heavy with Morgan’s scathing screams enunciating every word with such scorn, but then has a beautiful singing chorus. The lyrics are dark, but Kittie is a darker band.
