I love that Kittl did this. I have t-shirts with front and back designs and now I can have them together. So - question - is there a way to "import" two projects (previously had front design and separate for back design) and bring them together into the one artboard project? You mentioned changing colours when you have multiple artboards on the canvas, but it only applied to the background. If I had 4 artboards, for example, could each artboard have their own project colours? So say one has the 'candy shop' palette and another has 'red autumn'; is that possible? Or is it artboard backgrounds only?

OMG I love love love the new art boards. Don't want to go back ever. I'm just glad upscale is back. It's just so much easier using in 1 program. Only thing is I sometimes like to scroll through the colors boards just to see other options and it seems even if you have a board selected it changes all of them. There was a glitch where it wouldn't download all the boards today, but like everything once you start using the bugs have to be worked out. Just part of the process. Now I need you to make a iPad version so I don't have to carry my laptop everywhere for personalized products. lol

Art boards are the perfect feature for those using Kittl for wall art as you can create a separate art board for each size you are offering. One reason many pros use affinity designer and illustrator when creating multiple facets of an art project that includes layouts for different items such as branding packages etc...thankyou for this great feature, once users learn it will be life chaning to productivity and creativity.

Love the new feature and figured much of this out already from your first video but this gives more detail. One thing I would mention is that I like to compare versions of my work in different colours and, when using the colour palette feature, all of the artboards change to the selected palette rather than just the one I'm working on. Would be great if this could be addressed. I'm very happy with KIttl so keep up the good work :)

May I suggest with whatever the next major update you do.. that you do this type video tutorial before the launch as a “Coming Soon on Kittl” What frustrates the hell out of me is opening up the platform and not being able to find stuff that was second nature to use with no explanation whatsoever on what’s changed and how to use it. Thank for the explanation. that helps a lot, I really like the artboards, before I use to have about 5 tabs open working on the same project, I am one to look at my work, and look at it different everytime, this helps... and faster to make multipule designs in different colors or patterns. I do have one thing and please add this to a video. say I got 5 artboards, I know how to scale in and out but my problem is, if I want to focus on just one artboard and move in on it, meaning moving the canvas to just that one. How can I do that with out zooming in on all of them? The only way I can work on a artboard is to move it to the center and work on it for now. hope this makes since. thank you

Hey there, we're not entirely sure what you mean, but you can hit shift 0 to make everything go back to center, then hold the space bar and drag to get to your desired artboard, then you can zoom in and out with + or - keys as you please!

Anyone have thoughts on using the "Optimized" option when downloading a project. If you have upscaled images and saving at 4500x5400, 300dpi, is it necessary/beneficial to use "optimize" image when downloading? Thx

Hey there! We always recommend hitting Optimize Quality when exporting something for Print. It's sort of like giving the browser a little extra time to smooth out the pixels in your downloaded PDF. Usually, it's not needed for digital use.

When I do my color separations for screen printing the sizes randomly change when I hit download button. So I had to send my project to Fiverr for something that would have been simple in pre update kittl. Am I doing something wrong or is it a kittl glitch as customer service suggested but hasn’t fixed yet? Thank you not complaining I just want this rock off the road.

Hey there! There was definitely an export canvas size glitch taking place, and is not happening as frequently there. However, in setting up your artboard size, when exporting, at 300 DPI, there shouldn't be any issues from your normal canvas size dimensions. However, there were a few complications when exporting multiple canvases all at various sizes. We are still looking into making sure this gets fixed.

Hey there, yes, at the current moment, the project document colors affect the entire project at large, connecting all artboards. To see your canvas colors, you can click on the canvas title and see the individual design colors in the right side panel. We are also looking into how to best optimize the way colors work in Kittl.

I have started your video over and over but cannot see where I get to name my first new project. None of my pictures have anything at the upper left to allow me to name it. I even closed the program down and restarted it.

Hey there! To rename your artboard, you can double click the text, or edit the layer over in the layers panel in the lower left. If you are uploading pictures (not on an artboard), then there will be no "artboard" to rename. You can however rename objects over in the Layers panel as well.

Loving the new artboards. I do have what seems like a new issue when downloading. The download appears to automatically reduce/clip to the actual image size (when its sits on a board of a large size) automatically and every time I want to download I have to manually reset the download dimensions back to the artboard size. I cannot recall this being default behaviour prior to the artboard feature being introduced. For reference, the artboard size is correct, this auto scaling down of the size only occurs when downloading. I can manually work around it, but it's quite annoying.....anyone else having this problem or just me?

How to resize a template to fit into my artboard?

We are working on a feature that will do just that! But it will take some time. Right now, the easiest way is for you to select your design and drag it down using one of the corner points to fit your desired size.

Check in the settings to see if grid is on. There should be a toggle for on and off.

This is probably a really stupid question, but my 2nd artboard is covered by the pop up settings menu on the right and I can't get to it. When I placed it below my main artboard, it lies below the visible line of accessibility, and there's no way to scroll it down to see it. Any advice?

Hey there, you can hold the space bar and drag with your mouse to move the artboard where you want it. However you may be too zoomed in and can use the minus key to zoom out a bit and readjust to the size you want.

Hi, How can i resize i current design for example 5000 x 5000 is my design and i want to resize it to 900 x 1200 i tried but when i bring my design to the artboard and add another artboard my design disappeared then i do shift+1 bring it back but the new artboard is tiny and when i zoom it my design disappeared again, no comprendo, pls help

Hey there! We are working on a resize tool that will scale your design along with the artboard size, but for now, the easiest method would be making a duplicate of your design, grouping it together (CMD G, or right click and group), and then after you've inserted your new artboard measurements, you can scale down your design to fit within that artboard. Going from 5000 to 900 is definitely going to be a massive shift, so it's not that your design is disappearing, but it's "off" the side of the canvas because the design is currently still in the "middle" of the previous artboard size you had.

I had to create a 9th one. due to the reason that forgot to edit my brightness, contrast, and few others, when I go to edit them. my image disappears? what I am I doing wrong? It may be that something is hidden on your last artboard which you can check from the layers panel. Hey there, you can't edit the text on a static image, as it is a pixelized baked image, that is not editable. Text can only be edited from the fonts that are added within Kittl.

Hey there, we're not sure what you mean by changing the size of your boards. And you can certainly group things together, and when they are on a board, they be underneath that layer over in the layers panel. When you drag anything away onto the canvas, it will not be attributed to any artboard.
