I'm sad for Dae. He loves Kitty so much from beginning to end, and though that love was tested and measured by circumstances, he remains loyal to what he feels for her. In the end, he even lost his scholarship, and romantically it seems that Kitty is the only one that brings hope and joy to his life but still, he loses her. He is even about to fight and accept her for whoever she is. But it ended like he letting her go to be happy even without him..😭😭😭

Team Dae all the way. Look, I love Minho as a character since it was refreshing and in a way compensates the cheesy scenes but Dae treated her right since the beginning apart from being a good son and brother. I get that Minho's character is more loved since he is more charismatic and people are rooting for the enemies to lovers trope but Dae is really great if you focus on his scenes.

He did not treat her right at all. An NDA did not excuse half of the things he did, he could've and would've hinted to Kitty what was actually going on, the only reason he didn't is because of her implied 'untrustworthiness' (her telling a harmless thing she didn't even know was meant to be a secret?) He's an awful partner. Unlike Min-ho who has looked out for her since the start in his own way.

@@yin-yi5189 He tried telling Kitty a few times but Yuri kept interrupting and reminding him of the NDA. And don't forget his scholarship and father's employment is from Yuri's company. His family is not exactly rich to afford all of the things he has now. Aside from that, he is a student who has no complete knowledge of how he can get away with the NDA so he is just aware that not following it will have consequences. So, aside from being by Yuri's side as a pretend boyfriend with rare skinships, what exactly did he do that makes you say that he was just awful? Because every chance he gets, he tries to express his feelings for Kitty.

He stopped because she implied that Kitty would TELL people (otherwise Yuri was going to let him). He should KNOW Kitty wouldn't. He doubted her because of the whole Min-ho's secret thing. Also he knows how an NDA works, he's 17 not stupid. I'm 17 myself. And also there's many other things he's done.... how about allowing Yuri to kiss him? In private, btw, not for the camera's. That's not something a good bf does. How about telling Kitty he and Yuri are real?? That was so unnecessary and not part of the NDA. The LEAST he could do is say nothing. How about him saying no to Kitty staying in the dorms despite her having nowhere else safe to go? Terrible bf. How about him getting physical and aggressive with Min-ho just because he thought Kitty liked him? What a jerk, how would that be Min-ho's fault??? He's literally a terrible friend and bf. He's a good son and brother but he treated Kitty TERRIBLY. And what about him getting all aggressive with Min-ho looking out for Kitty being like 'we sorted it drop it'. Um that's not for you to say? YOU wronged HER. Not to mention the fact Dae and Kitty just had ZERO chemistry. Sure he wanted to 'be' with her but did he actually love her? Uhhh, no. He was just possessive. Name one ACTUALLY sweet thing he did that's not just him running after her and talking a bunch of nothing. Where's the ACT? That was all Min-ho. Not Dae.

@@yin-yi5189 Well, except for that one scene, she kept on hinting about the NDA and when he was fully determined to tell Kitty, she used that situation to make Kitty look distrustful in his eyes. The reason may be trivial to you but we have different perspectives on what type of stuff are okay to share and I cannot blame both parties on the actions they did. Dae for doubting Kitty and Kitty for telling the class about Minho. If anything, don't you think Yuri somehow manipulated Dae, considering he is also in a lot of stress at that time? And if you watched shows about LDR who did not really have time to get to know each other more in person, there are some things we can't really be sure of since some people have a different side when you meet them in person and another when you are pen pals/texting/chatting with them. About NDA, I said he may not know how to get away with the NDA, not don't know what a NDA is. Since I see that you are smart and 17, what would you have done then in his situation? Him telling that he and Yuri are real? Wasn't it something he said because he was upset? Haven't you seen scenes of characters telling things they don't mean because they are upset? Haven't you experienced it too? About the dorms, don't you think he said that because it is against the rules? It is the boys dorm. I believe Minho was also against that but all four of them eventually lived there happily right? About getting physical and aggressive with Minho, it was his first time knowing Kitty likes someone else and he thought someone was taking her away from him. What did you expect, that he would be calm? I get that part where he is being protective is kinda unnecessary even though Minho already managed the fire situation but he felt that because he saw the two of them looking into each other's eyes on stage. I can see about the chemistry but you say he did not love her? Did you not see it when he was so happy to see her again after many years? He slept outside Kitty's room on her first night there so he could talk to Kitty. When he was not in the room, he went after her. After breaking up with Yuri, he straight up went to her and tried to make up for it. He set up a date in the woods to apologize for not being able to talk about Yuri's situation. He was ready to make up with Kitty in the airport even knowing she is in love with someone else. Did you forget how he kept Kitty's necklace all along with him? Like Minho, he was expressing his love in his own way. Of course, Minho is all about act because Kitty is his friend's girlfriend. Trying to express his feelings is him hinting at her that he still loves her even though he was faking to be in a relationship. That's how Kitty got the idea that they are faking it. You expect Dae to do the most rational things when actually, he is more driven by emotion. He was constantly torn in the first few episodes and let us not forget this is his first relationship and it is his first time to be with Kitty in person for a longer time. You are looking at it in a black and white outlook. It seems to me that you watch the movie just on the surface and all your focus was on Minho. But anyway, to each of their own and let's agree to disagree. Just like what Anthony said, I would like to see them explore this arc of Minho and Kitty as a love interest but I would still be rooting for Team Dae as the endgame.

Oh, my goodness! I heart this edit. I love Team Dae all the way. People are just biased towards Minho because of his supposed charismatic characteristics (I just found him as the typical rich and rude character who changes in the end) and the second lead syndrome (actually third lead, Quincy was second lead for me). But Dae was the actual loyal boyfriend, he was so attached to Kitty whereas Minho was just jumping from girlfriend to girlfriend like from Lulu he jumped on Madison and from Madison now he wanted to jump on Kitty. But Dae truly cared, and that was seen from him creating up an entire forest date to make up with Kitty to chasing her down the airport just to say he loved her. And for those who were saying that he could've hinted at Kitty remember that Yuri manipulated him against Kitty and also those who were saying that Dae allowed himself to be manipulated, remember that he has a very sensitive and vulnerable personality whereas Yuri has a very influencial and tough personality and not just Dae, she could manipulate anyone against her enemies. For Minho and Kitty shippers, just making dinner together and dousing a small fire doesn't mean he loved her for real. Come on, even if you saw a stranger on fire your natural instinct would be to save them. And guys, tell the truth, how many guys told you that they fell in love with you and the relationship lasted (I'm very sorry if I'm intruding into your love life, I didn't mean to)? Before even starting Xo Kitty I did ship Minho and Kitty but that was mainly because I really did think Dae was actually cheating. I feel for him, and I don’t like how people are just kicking him to the side of his own love story like first off if not for him there would be no Kitty or Minho interaction to fawn over he met Kitty first established the ground work became friends with her and soon after fell in love with her it’s just that the circumstances didn’t put them in the right place and right time I get wanting to have Kitty experiment with other people.
