I don't understand the " tomato soup " in a pasta sauce recipe ? Have worked with some of Australia's best chefs, ( real chefs, and not a boy/man with only 3 weeks training to boil water at a community TAFE college, which isn't a real COLLEGE BECAUSE there is no student residency there ). All good home cooks NEVER use tomato soup in any Italian sauce. Only those who live with a mobile phone taped to their hands while on the internet 18 hours a day would use tomato sauce. 2 ways to cook a Bolognese sauce. The traditional SLOW COOK ... in a pot full of fresh vegetables including TOMATOS ( real tomatos, NOT SOUP ). Often with carrots etc on the bottom......after a few + hours the meat and fresh vege's have become the richest meat SAUCE imagineable......ready to put in the fridge for tomorrow and about a week onwards. The second way is quick and mostly in a deep fry pan..... ample tomato PASTE or make your own, but NO SOUP.
