Whenever the lead singer comes off the choir and goes into the congregation and you can still hear her or him , that's the annointing.

Kitty Parham and Marion Williams are two of my favorite gospel singers/evangelists. I had a huge crush on Kitty Parham for a long time. Well...praise the Lord.

I noticed Kitty skipping backwards, but the Wards never did that after she left. I think she brought a lot of energy and fame to the Ward Singers.....

Saw this in 62 too in Amsterdam Carre. NO PA, NO MICROPHONES, everything, including piano and organ acoustic. Never heard such beautifull music and sound ever again.

This is some great stuff here. Ms. Parham lived around the corner from me. She was one of the first "stars" I ever met as a child. I met her and was speechless. I bought a record from her, and I believe that she autographed it. It is still at my mother's house. I am going to have to dig it up.

Man.. When I tell you I'm amazed at the SUPERB clarity, range and power of them old back in the day PA system microphones.. Today, if someone thinks they're grand enough to leave the stage while singing, that's it..

These great, great Gospel singers were among the first to introduce Gospel Music to the people in Europe. Kitty was so in The Lord! I loved all of these wonderful women. Thank you Lord for them and the contribution they made in this Godly Music!

When I received this footage about 3 years ago, this was one of my favorite portions of the concert! If you look at 1:55, you'll see where a guy puts his arm up to keep Kitty from falling! It seems like she always put her ALL into this song, as well as anything else she sang. Thanks for posting!

As i said before: i am white and I cán clap, but what if you can't? It's how you appreciate the mucisc and the words. But I must confess also that is seems a bit clumsy and backwards. Most Dutch (except me) aren't very outgoing. A French public would be white too, but definitely different.

Yes, the clapping is a mess! It is a cultural clash! Typically, black people clap 2-4 and whites 1-3. I agree that the audience should follow the singers or just appreciate the Gospel sound.
@taddyd113 жыл бұрын
@stack4321 Then The Strars can't either, cuz 90% is clappin with them.

The audience looks VERY comfortable to me. The Stars weren't able to play to white crowds like this in 3/4 the States in the the US in 1962, Fool.
