Thank you to whomever posted any Kitty Wells. Some don't care for her music becuase they say it is "too twangy". I think her music is superb, just as Patsy Cline's is.

Queen Kitty Wells. One of the 1st women in country music to stand up and say "Now hold on a minute. I don't think so!" Revolutionary in her sweet, but very strong way.

No matter who comes or goes there'll never be another Kitty Wells! Born in the sixties, I grew up on Kitty's music and have loved it ever since! Thanks to her the door was opened for Loretta, Patsy, Tammy, Connie, and the great girl singers who followed. It'd be nice if some of today's "so called" country females would take a lesson from her as well!! I'd rather hear a good country song than see a belly button on stage or hear the four letter words coming outta their mouths!!!

Thanks so much ickybod for this classic performance from Kitty Wells. She was the FIRST female to have MAJOR recording success in the country field, and will always remain the Undisputed Queen of Country Music. She achieved all of this at a time when the good old boys in country music didn't want to let the gals in on the action. I've talked with Kitty many times, and she is one of the most gracious, humble, down to earth people you will ever meet. She's the REAL DEAL! Thanks Again! MoJoPiano

one of my most treasured songs of her's. I love the saying in the song "even Steven heart" I wished I have comment on every video I have watched of her on you tube. I think I have seen them all many times over. Remembering her 45 rpm's being chosen in the juke box in my home town of Port. Elgin, N.B. Especially her song "Searching" & "How Far Is Heaven". The song birds are singing in heaven because she is there.

AMEN to that! You and I are on the same page nccountryboy90 when it comes to Miss Kitty! Some folks must not have minded the "twang" in her voice; not only was she the FIRST female country superstar, she has sold MILLIONS of recordings, has a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame and has received virtually every honor and award in the business. Hers was a career that spanned more than six decades, so I think her crown as the "Queen of Country Music" is STILL secure! MoJoPiano

Made between '52-"61 by Al Gannaway Productions. At the time the only color production of the Opry stars shot with a 35mm camera, still available today if interested. (hard to find). Bob's Somewhere In Time Country.

The Opry was in no way connected to these shows. This was filmed and produced by Al Gannaway Productions, straight out of Hollywood, shot with 35mm cameras and in color. Made at various location around Nashville during the '50's into the early '60' s. Ask for Al Gannaway Productions on Google, also Grand Ole Opry Stars of the '50's. Dozens will come up.

This ill-bred and ill mannered oaf should seek therapy to enable him(?)to keep these insulting and offensive remarks within the confines of his(?)odious mind. If his(?) objective is to belittle and hurt people he(?) achieves nothing only condemnation. Please say something nice, you may be surprised at the result. However I do suspect your'e as abhorrent as your prose.
