I love how curated and purposeful all of her toys are. How do you handle extended family who may not know your lifestyle as well as your close family, or friends, buying your kids toys that you would prefer not to bring into your children's space?

Honestly most of our friends and family are great about gifts. I do like to have an amazon wishlist for gifts setup I can send when someone is asking for ideas. Otherwise, I’ll donate the toys that don’t fit into our style of toys 🤗 or save them for things like road trips and travel depending on the toy.

Have you ever looked into the Reggio Emilia approach? To me, it seems like a little Montessori and a little Waldorf, so you might find it interesting. :)

I’m surprised she did not respond to your idea because that type of learning is very important when I went to college for early childhood education. The approach you are talking about has a lot of great resources for teaching children in different ways according to the child’s developmental stage and not just basic academics.
