My comments are often deleted by the channel admin. Comments truthful but biting but that any other KZbin channel would allow. Not local news stations. Woke, Uber sensitive, deceitful. Leaving out comments that many locals really feel. Local news channels can be such 🍩. Delete away. Just so long as you read my opinion, I’m satisfied

I stayed at Ke Iki Beach Bungalow in Jan 2020 . There are many sign posts on the beach saying “Do not Swim “ due to dangerous sea conditions. I remember being woken up early in the morning by the sound of the waves crashing on the beach . In the interview that the rescue people gave ,they said the waves were 20-30 ft w paves off Ke Iki beach on the Saturday . Were those teens under any adult supervision at all ? It’s tragic that these young people didn’t respect the sea conditions .

Well aren’t you special? You actually stayed there and heeded the warning signs. Hooray. Then you say these two did not “respect” the ocean. Stop and think about your superior attitude, the desperately worried families and shut it.

@ there is nothing superior in my attitude . It’s called common sense , the signs are there for reason . Your remarks aes baseless as well as ridiculous.

God Bless you Ma’am Jamie Song, Ma’am Michelle Rice, and Sir J. King. My heartfelt prayers to the Ohana of the precious teens. This is very sad. 😞 😂
So effing stupid!! As a mom, my heart hurts for their families. If those kids/young adults had just been responsible, they would be alive and well with their families. I and my family are from Hawaii and we were all taught to respect the ocean - never trust it, never turn our backs on it. Be aware of the situation and never go where conditions are flagged. We surfed, body surfed, boogieboarded, snorkeled, dove, fished, spearfished, boated, and more in and upon these waters. These conditions have been very dangerous this season. There have been so many rescues and deaths. I just don’t know why people still take such risks - it's never worth losing your life. Earlier today, I felt human remains would be found. I hope, for the families' sake, they prove to be both the guy and girl so their families will have closure. Please LORD, give these families the closure they need. And may people stop thinking they can overcome the powerful forces YOU created in the elements of this World: earth, fire, water, air - in the Name of Jesus, amen.

I agree it’s frustrating and heartbreaking. But calling them stupid and irresponsible is just the wrong message at the worst time. Ascribing blame to the missing isn’t appreciated whether you are correct or not. For goodness sake, think about the families before you yap.

@Charly-in-the-808 I am thinking about the families. I happen to come from a large local family. I assure you, no one thinks, "Gee, what a horrible thing to happen to intelligent people who wisely chose to ignore all the warnings, risked it all and lost their lives. Left their families to wonder, grieve, and feel sick to their stomach imagining and ultimately knowing the outcome. And now, the families are the ones (as well as the rescuers/recovery team) to truly suffer the consequences of the brilliant decision all the curious adults make when bucking-up to a mighty force of Nature and the creatures within." Absolutely no one thinks or says this. I'm a realist - and that's what people should be when faced with this awful and avoidable situation. It wasn't a tragedy like the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that killed at least 225,000 people across a dozen countries, including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South India, Thailand, and the Maldives. THAT was unavoidable due to lack of warning systems. I feel horrible for the pain the families are suffering - especially since there is no one else to hold accountable but the two who ignored every blatantly clear and concise warning in place. I hope my words WILL get even one would-be daredevil to realize the ones who truly suffer are the living left behind, so just say no and DON'T do it! There is nothing glorious about foolish, impulsive acts that result in death. In time, may those hurting find peace.

So they might have found them??? Who found the remains??? At least HFD does their job, unlike hpd who can't do anything right. So glad hpd was not there. they would have found a way to take all the credit for everything, but do the least of everyone.

@@chrisdunne1837. Oh why don’t you both just shut up? You yourselves accused these two for being irresponsible. You blame the police. You blame the victims. Think of these families and how you would feel reading your insensitive comments about their missing children.
