Nothing about the Kia and Hyundai class action settlement for their design flaw making their vehicles particularly vulnerable to theft? You could be doing a public service by telling victims of theft of those car brands that they can be compensated. But....no. That's not how the news in Hawaii rolls. This was a very lazy segment.

Air tags are cheap hide one or two in your car. Get a waterproof case you can wear as a necklace in the water for your car keys. Don’t leave anything valuable in the car.

You can also place an AirTag in your vehicle. Cheap way to find your car if ever stolen. Imagine the look of the car thieves faces when you show up to their place with the cops.

Been there TRUCK ripped off - left me and my family without any vehicle struggling!!!! WHEN YOU CATCH THE THIEVES PUNISHMENT SHOULD BE VERY HARD LONG TO SEND A MESSAGE OUT TO WANNA BE VEHICLE THIEVES. SHOULD'VE TAKEN THE SKYLINE RAIL MONEY TO BUILD ANOTHER JAIL.

We need stiffer penalties, restitution and longer jail times for each offense. Minimum 5 years to 20 years in jail or more

My vehicle doesn't have an expensive stereo system, just a base model vehicle, a few fishing pole and gear which is replaceable & some work stuff. I simply just remove the battery if I'm parked out on the street. My worries is solved!

AAA used to have machines that made plastic keys up til 2010, that were flat like a credit card and fit into your wallet. You can use them to open the door manually and retrieve your stashed electronic key inside the car. Of course they got rid of the machines BUT the idea of having a flat metal door lock key is the idea i’m trying to make

Be careful what shop you take your car in for service... those can also be the very people that end up going back to your home to steal your car.

It’s not the cop’s fault prosecutors don’t sentence theses people they get off with no jail time only probation. A car thief has 100s of arrests but very little time in jail so it’s not the cops fault blame the democrats for soft laws and lack of prosecution
