There are many different stories depicting our history. When you become grandparents you begin to understand that your story matters more to yours and your grandchildren. But it's that sign of respect we show for each other for our stories may not correspond in certain area's linking us through our ancestral ties. As I was taught the existence of my beginning so must I know and understand the importance of my ending to come. If my mind is at ease then my body will be at ease. If my body is at ease then my spirit will be at ease. A proverb so powerful to your whole thought in the walk of your life. Let my body settle beneath the cloth of my mothers cloak, Papatuanuku

we acknowledge that everything has a spirit and a link to a god from which everything is born. each has its own place in the universe and governs its own laws to keep the balance in nature. we maori as kaitiaki today also have a responsibility to pass on knowledge of karakia to the younger generation to keep them safe from the spirits and taniwha that are guarding tapu sites.

And to also recognize the tapu that's been placed upon bloodlines And that the new generations can understand it! Respect it! Remember our ancestors and break the makutu. Some of our Māori whanaunga are still riddled with makutu but have no clue what it is or how to comprehend it. As we do not walk side by side with our spiritual side as we once did

These are the stories of The Great Council in Heaven and of The Great War in Heaven that followed. Amazing to see the stories preserved among specific tribes, clans, cultures.

I am still baffled that through life there is death. Alongside light, there is darkness. We are born into light with the gift of breath and someday, shall return to the darkness to return such a precious taonga. Perhaps to live once more, or perhaps to start a new journey. Noku te whakaaro. Mauriora

@@kaydog890 and may your ignorance comfort you. How do you explain Hinenuitepö nee Hinetītama and the myriad of other Atua wāhine. Clearly they didn't encompass male or female bodily functions as we know it now, but the essence of those celestial beings imbued female and male energies which combined gave birth and expansion to the world we know.

Let me ask you something, what do you get out of this exactly? What does your god get out of this exactly? Because if it does nothing for you or your god, then what is the point? If you truly believe in only one god then that’s ok, but please be aware that people like myself believe in many gods and will continue to do so.
