My parakeet passed away 2 months ago and his name was Bosc, he looked just like Kiwi with bright and beautiful green feathers. If you decide to get another birb, and it's a budgie, you might want to pick those colors again. That's the natural, in-the-wild color, and all others are created by careful breeding. So, the "boring" colored birds are probably the healthiest ones.

Awww.. just found your channel. Of all the parrots, budgies have the sweetest chatter IMO. That combination of the "electronic" voice interspersed with random whistles, trills and their repertoire of mad sound effects -- those smooching and zipper and ripping/DJ-needle-scratch sounds - are the sound of happiness. I could listen to this all day. You are very lucky to have these two in your life - thanks for sharing them withviewers. PS. have you mentioned anywhere how you came to choose their names?
