Begleiter is the german word for "companion". Very nice EDC knive, superb finish and high end steel

Gorgeous looking tanto, especially with that carbon fiber. Great version of a classic Kizer

Just bought one of these and is is amazing. Sharp enough to shave hair on my forearm right out of the box, light, balanced, beautifully made, and an absolute joy to operate.

Azo is the designer, Begleiter is the model of the knife. What you thought was a serial number under the blade steel is the model number of the knife. Good looking knife.

New one for me but you are miles ahead of me. That's why I keep watching. Very attractive knife, so many things I like here. The clip- well designed, jimping extended - I have some with finger choil that could have benefited from this. That blade - such a beautiful grind. This one is tempting me pretty strong. Thanks as usual for choosing such great knives to spotlight.

You are correct about it being a complete design by Azo, made by Kizer. Very beautiful knives. I own the patina (correct my spelling if wrong) looking micarta handle begleiter2, with the copper colored inlay around the bearing. Very cool looking imo. I started to get the carbon fiber as it was beautiful as well. But I find the micarta had a slightly better grip on that particular knife. And I'd be using it at work a lot. Nice content. Beautiful piece, sir

Also, Beglieter means companion in German. As you said Azo is the designer. Great job finding and reviewing a super cool knife that no else has show on you tube. Nice scoop by you.

Thought it might be a name with some meaning. Thanks very much! 👍🗡️👍

Appreciate the translation. I had been curious about that name.

Mine came in a cheap plastic encasing. No nice pouch like that. Got a cleaning cloth. Granted I bought the begleiter2 with the micarta handle.

I love this design. I own the titanium tanto version and also the titanium drop point version. I just placed my order for this CF version with Chicago Knife Works for $135. Amazing value, fantastic knives. Like you, I first saw it on amazon, but amazon wont ship it to my state of Massachusetts. Great review, thank you!

@@charlesserc7753 Yes, in my opinion its one of the best designs of its type that I have ever seen. My favorite Kizer and of my favs over all.

Thanks man. That helps me. I have it narrowed down to a few now. I'm on a budget so I'm saving up. Lol. But for that price it seems like an awesome value

With that hollow grind. It looks like it's nice and thin behind that edge. Prob a grate slicer.

That Ki### is the model number, probably an A2 because the titanium framelock came out first and should be the A1 variant. Also Azo and Kim Ning are both excellent designers, some of my favorite and best executed Kizers have been from those two in-house designers.

How hard would it be to add gimping to the liner lock yourself?
@OGBladeReviews2 жыл бұрын
For a good job it could be hand done with the right tools, or milling equipment. Depends on your skill sets, I suppose. 👍

I'm heavily debating on which version I should get. Should I get the Ti or CF version first?
@OGBladeReviews3 жыл бұрын
To further complicate things, it comes in a drop point and tanto blade style... LOL! I might eventually get the titanium drop point. Any flavor, it's a sweet Kizer. 👍🗡️👍

Beigleiter means Companion which I love for an EDC knife. I am having a terrible time deciding between the carbon fiber and titanium version of this, but I'm going to pull the trigger as soon as my tax refund shows up. I like the titanium better aesthetically, but it lacks the jimping on the flipper which is really annoying. Decisions, decisions.
@OGBladeReviews3 жыл бұрын
Hahahaha, true! Good luck with your decision. Always tough with great blades! 👍🗡️😁
