My only gripe with MKC is they 100% ripped off Benchmade’s idea of charging wayyyy too much for their knives. Still not nearly as annoying as the people who bought all the Ozark Grails and are selling them for $30 on eBay.

MKC makes FAR higher quality products than benchmade though. I make custom knives in my free time and I can tell you that making knives with high quality materials by hand (or at least with hand-fitted parts) is WAYYY more expensive than making trashy plastic molds in a factory. Benchmade makes $30-50 knives and sells them for $100-400...not ok for a "mainstream" company.

Non compete are inherently scummy. Yeah, you shouldn't be able to take privileged material from one company to another, but there are already laws against that. The idea that you can effectively control an ex employee long after you've stopped paying them is mad. That new law was a great win for normal people, and that it got stalled in Texas is the most anti-Texas thing. Its the "don't tread on me" state!

I got my Yonder approximately 2 days after the official release. I have been IN LOVE with this knife!!! I always carry a small knife, typically Hogue Deka, and a larger knife(PM2). Ever since I got my Yonder it hasn't left my pocket or hand. I reach for it for basically every task. Honestly once I'm able to buy another I'll be getting it so I can use the one I currently have more freely... Because I don't want to wear this one out too much! Because I love it that much! I thought it might be too small when I first got it but it turned out to be the perfect size for a lot of uses. The ONLY con I have for the Yonder is the access to the thumb studs could be a little better. Perhaps a slight slope to be able to dig your thumb in just a bit.

Non-competes are the ultimate red flags of employment opportunities. Any company that has them is showing exactly who they are and that they do not have any interest what so ever in development of their staff along with their company. Show segment idea: 1)You pick it, We Pocket! One person from the comments suggests an EDC, one for the Knafs crew carries it in Pocket for a week and then gives it a one week review and gives it "Carry on" or "Cut" rating. At the end of the year... CARRY ON SHOW DOWN! 2)Maker highlight! Each week, the Knafs guys scour the internet and highlight a maker or a design they feel needs to be seen.
