ive noticed that russians and brazilians tend to over exaggerate kizomba moves to make it more sexy. which is not what the dance was meant to be.

Yes, it is over sexualised and it confused me a lot at the beginning of my journey of wanting to learn kizomba. Honestly, I concluded the exaggerated movements are just for views.

Yes, the dance becomes whatever the dancer intends it to become. So someone can make it sexy or family friendly. The important part is that people understand that the dance itself is not inherently sexy.
