she's that one close childhood friend that you hear about by time to time after they became really famous; it's kind of the same feel, i remember seeing her first videos and talking about wanting to make bonds with everyone and just seeing her as an ambassador and how far she's gone...even when not watching her that much anymore, made me really happy whenever her smol updates came daily on her twitter and that lil' janken game made me feel like it's a friend i check on by time to time and i'm happy she's been doing great. I fell into the Vtuber hole with Hololive and, sadly, didn't really watch Kizuna Ai very much outside of the random clip here and there, but you bet your ass I wasn't going to miss this. So many amazing Vtubers out there now, and without Ai we wouldn't have any of them. All the memories we have watching our favorite Vtubers over the past several years all come back to her and what she started. Hell, even many of the Hololive members have specifically said that they wouldn't be where they are today if it weren't for her. So thank you for everything, Kizuna Ai! We eagerly await your return!

This is such a power statement of an entrance, and it's 110 % earned through all of her years of dedicated and hard work. I can't think of any other vtuber who could pull this off without it coming across as unserious or unearned. Seeing greetings and well wishes from all over the industry leading up to the live was wonderful as well. The competition is no doubt fierce, but I think the mutual recognition and appreciation among idols make the entire industry much more engaging to the audience, who just want to have a good time and enjoy a sense of people getting along.
