I had a 49 for years. Our youngest daughter put big eyelashes on the headlights and made giant red lips that I zip tied to the grille. She named it Farah Farmall. I'm partial to Gibsons for starter tractors (because I started on one), but you can't beat a little Cub. Nice score Kenny!

Hey Kenny, I hope the coolant is just over full. Mine turned out to be two cracked cylinders. Thats awesome. You only had to fix little things. To get it running. They are even better with a mower.

I think that was the case. I haven't had an issue with it since, so it likely was a coolant over-full issue. No bubbles or anything coming up in the coolant, so, that's good.

It sure is a nice little unit! Still having issues with the carburetor. I am pretty confident it is a needle and seat issue, or a float issue. We will get to the bottom of it!

My daughter loves it!! Unfortunately the carburetor struck up some more issues on her first test ride so I will have to figure that out. No big deal, though!

My daughter has steered most of my tractors while on my lap.. She is still too petite to reach the controls on this one, but it's small enough to where I can walk closely with her while she "drives on her own". Eventually, she will be moving the Mighty M around!

NO, the valid reason for those Illinois tolls evaporated LONG ago. They have high taxes already and still want to collect tolls so they can dip into the pockets of non residents and carriers.

farmall cub IHC first garden tractor it will pull a one bottom 12 inch plow. they are available for a reasonable price. a front dirt and snow blade a 48" belly mower a 60 inch finish belly mower a 5ft mid mount sicle mower are the most common attachments. a flat belt pulley mounts over the PTO shaft. this would be handy to start hand crank john deeres with a flat belt.as much yard as you have i would recommend you get a belly mower for it. you got 12hp with a 60CID engine.you can find oem wheel weights and chains. you got a great find.

They sure are a nice little tractor. I wouldn't mind getting a front blade for it so that we can use it for snow in the winter! I don't think this one would have enough SNORT to start the model D. I have a riding mower already, so I don't really need the belly mower. But, a snow blade would be nice. Already has wheel weights on the back!

Nice little Cub you picked up! That was the first tractor I ever drove and yes they sure can get into tight places and the Cub if I am not mistaken has three mains unlike the the Pony which only has two mains so if you find the plow or cultivator you can work it pretty hard and she should stand up quite well 😀🇨🇦

Kenny, is the offset of the engine and operator's seat from the centerline what Farmall called "Culti-Vision"? I assumed that meant the operator could see where he was plowing etc. Raelyn has the world's best daddy. ❤Thanks for the video.

Yessir! The offset of both the driver and the engine allow the driver to keep direct observation of the crops he was cultivating. It allowed for more accurate farming, without damaging the crops. Thanks for the compliment my friend!

Your girl is going to be over the moon when she sees that! My grandfather fixed blocks of wood to his garden tractor so I could drive it. Don't even remember what kind it was. Just that it slipped out of gear on a huge hill, and my cousin and I went down it at about mach 4 😂

I thought about developing some type of extended foot pedal system for it, but, I'll be with her on the tractor anyhow. If something happens, I will take control of the machine. Can't be too careful! I've got a story about a VERY close near miss that I had on a tractor while a teenager. I should share that sometime.

Kenny, I'm a little bit jealous of you. I've been hunting a cub an A or a Super A here in Northeast Tennessee and have found a couple. Either in such rough shape or completely restored and that's not what I'm looking for. I'm kinda looking.for something in between that. I'll find one sometime I don't have a big enough garage for anything bigger than that wouldn't fit in it to work on. I'll find something but that's about the shape I'm looking for myself. I hope Raylen enjoys that. Your raising her the way kids need it these days. My youngest daughter turns 33 next month so I've missed the chance to.do those type thing your doing with yours. Good luck with it buddy I'll catch you again soon. Keep the content coming you always know I'm watching.

This tractor came into my hands based on the kindness of a fellow KZbin friend. I have always wanted to get a Cub for my daughter, but was not in the market to purchase another tractor. But, here we are! I am very happy with how this one turned out. I don't take them home very often where you can get them running in a matter of under an hour, that's for sure. Yes. It is 6 volt and does have the starter on it. It doesn't take much to hand crank this tractor, and I have no problem doing that.
